Generally agree with this, but I do think there is something to rankings when played. Some teams are monsters early in the season then tank later for whatever reason or injuries. And vice versa. What I normally try to fall back on is if it benefits us, use that metric. If it doesn’t, then it was just a poor metric that “analysts” fell in love withMe neither and that was my point. Those teams are ranked now.
His bat to ball skills were off the charts.
Unfortunately, the contact he made after putting the bat on the ball is tainted (during the time period you are referencing).
The greatest tragedy of the juiced era, imo, is that we’ll never know how great he would have ended up. And he is to blame.
Was a no-doubt first ballot HOF (maybe the first ever unanimous selection since without the juice, he would’ve been eligible way before Mariano Rivera), but traded it for storied MLB records that were watered down in celebration and appreciation. Maybe someday he can be honest concerning if the barter was worth it.His bat to ball skills were off the charts.

Prove every other hitter was using steroids just like Bonds. Also he wasn’t way better than all the other hitters. Not really cause the only fair way to judge players is against their peers not other eras. We have no idea how guys would perform across eras. What we do know is in the juiced ball era Barry Bonds was incomparable. That's why it doesn't matter to me that he used steroids. Everyone else was doing it too and he was way better than them.
Barry Bonds is the GOAT not because of his raw totals. He's the GOAT because of how dominant he was in comparison to his peers.
What's so bad about the situation was the 4 straight MVP seasons were steroid induced seasons. I give Bonds Credit for his first 3 MVP seasons in early 90's but the 4 straight should be taken out of the record books. As far as the poster saying everyone was on steroids that's funny. Chipper and Derek Jeter were jacked up on roidsWas a no-doubt first ballot HOF (maybe the first ever unanimous selection since without the juice, he would’ve been eligible way before Mariano Rivera), but traded it for storied MLB records that were watered down in celebration and appreciation. I don't want to get into a "steroid/HOF/who juiced/who didn't" debate.......What's so bad about the situation was the 4 straight MVP seasons were steroid induced seasons. I don't care that he juiced. Put him in the HOF where he belongs. Not really cause the only fair way to judge players is against their peers not other eras. But there are lots of different "steroids" out there. Not all bulk you up and make you stronger. Some help you heal quicker. Other's mask pain. Some will help maintain muscle mass as you age.
I'd be willing to bet almost anything that the vast majority of ALL athletes......In every sport....... were "juicing" during this timeframe.

Mark and Jay Mcgwire just took the kind to help you sleep.

You could be correct but I would put money on it that Cal Ripken Jr. Never touched the stuff.. or Ken Griffey Jr.I don't want to get into a "steroid/HOF/who juiced/who didn't" debate.......
