Y’all, if I was guaranteed a football national championship in return for losing a finger, I’m pretty sure I’d give up any pinky through middle finger on either hand.
It would need to be a pyramid scheme set up. If I'm gonna lose a finger, there better be 2 more of you jerks willing to lose a finger the next couple of years and each one of you should have 2 more people ready to go & so on, to continue the process. . .

. . . that's only 100 fingers for a century of Natty's. Sounds a little like a 9-fingered cult, but whatever it takes, 😂

Especially with the new playoff setup, getting to watch the Vols take down 3 to 4 top programs would be a glorious month. Baseball was fun but I'm pretty new to college baseball and it's hard to find on TV a lot of times and college basketball is mostly to pass time in the winter.

We are 185th in the nation in scoring offense. Kenpom isn’t everything.

KenPom is an infinitely more accurate depiction of offensive success than points per game will ever be. Take the Virginia national title team a few years ago. They averaged 71.8 ppg (almost 3 points less than us this season), but they were 2nd nationally in offensive efficiency that season. Houston this season is a similar story. They are 140th in ppg but 6th in offensive efficiency per KenPom. Efficiency matters way more than ppg because of how deceiving ppg can be depending upon a team’s pace of play.

Now with that being said, this has very little impact on the discussion as far as Tennessee is concerned. We are well outside the top 20 in offensive efficiency and don’t stand a chance in the world at sniffing the top 20.

As a fan, the utility of having three very good to elite programs to root for throughout the entire year is much better than just having one. Even if that one is often viewed as the most important (revenue and school perception-wise).

I mean, I would give just about anything to see another football national championship. But the high would wear off after a few days. Right now we go from one solid season to another. Basically fills up the entire calendar year outside of July and August. And that’s for fall camp updates anyway.

I might feel differently if football was still in the gutter. But we just made the playoff and I think Heupel hasn’t reached his ceiling yet here.

Good grief nobody is saying that. But we got swept by a first year head coach. Most of us laughed when UK hired Pope. We laughed when they got smoked by UGA. We laughed when they lost to Vandy. And now they sweep us.

There is no way to sugar coat it. This series against UK was pathetic. We are still a very good team. But you make it sound like we lost to a powerhouse on the road. We didn’t. Oh and why is it other teams can win on the road in the SEC but we can’t?

I swear some of you go to extremes when others get upset.
Keep posting. It’s more enjoyable to read comments from realistic posters. It’s okay to be frustrated and state opinions based off factual info. Or he$$, just posting an opinion.

There isn’t any excuse for TN to be swept by KY this yr. And we had the game won imo last nt. It’s concerning as we choked down the stretch to elite teams. If we do it now, then why would one expect anything different in March?

DD4ME, why does this idiot have to try to instigate resentment of the football program two days before first pitch?

Drowning in dumb. Fortunately, few will be flat footed enough to fall for it. I hope.
I personally thought he was getting people to realize how much they really value the other programs. The vote is heavily weighted toward having all be good.

We can sniff the top 20 but have to be better. There is still plenty of time for movement.

Because we lost games last year and made the Elite Eight? We got beat twice by Mississippi State last year. Should we just cancel the rest?
