Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Texas is doing what I said they should do and what I said we should do and I don’t understand why we couldn’t do that in Columbus, especially as our fans were louder than they were. Their fans did not deserve that win.

You’re not wrong. But at the end of the day they whipped us. Does that not trump any consolation prize we might get?

Also, and don’t laugh, ND could beat Texas. I thought PSU would whoop them. It didn’t happen. So why couldn’t they beat Texas, who has looked mortal way more than OSU. I don’t trust ND to beat OSU as much as Texas.

It is not serious unless it is by CJH. Has he shared that with you?
We get it man. To you, Heupel cannot be criticized nor questioned. He is infallible and has never made a mistake. I would just ask you to try and think for yourself. Ask yourself, who has Pope developed in the past two years?

I agree on Pope, but would also point out WR room was probably the most injured group. Still PLAY THE YOUNG GUYS, and Heupel has the call there. Still Pope didn’t have em ready to step in so Heupel didn’t put them out there.
I agree and made a comment earlier about Bru, Squirrel, and Thornton playing way too much injured. We were supposedly "deep" in the WR room. That's what ticked me off the most, I thought we had plenty of dudes at WR. Pope just didn't do his job getting his squad ready and it showed.

I think wide receivers can play as frehmen and sophmores and be productive but offensive linemen need a couple of years to develop, especially in the SEC.

Can someone convince me why many of you are rooting for osu and thus why I should? I hate them and will never forgive them for this playoffs first round game, or for losing to uga by a field goal in the cfp 2 years ago.
The reason to root for the Ohios Tate is to prevent Tejas, in our league and thus a more direct competitor, from advancing. Advancing is a recruiting advantage. Also some think that it will make us look better if the Ohio runs the table. And because we hate Tejas.

The reason to root for Tejas is to prevent the Ohios Tate, who we end up competing against in recruiting even more often lately, from advancing. Advancing is a recruiting advantage. Also, as you said, some think it is more immediately gratifying if the Ohio losses. And because we hate the Suckeyes.

The reason for rooting for a meteor should be clear.
