Recruiting Football Talk VIII

It's a thing. The narrative since Saturday has been that Saban paid attention to and enforced discipline on every little detail in the building. Since he left, everyone has relaxed, and it's showing on the field.

Looks like they're now playing the short-cut "everything will be OK now" card because they're getting back to what Saban did to create a winning culture.
DeBoer is allowed to have his own way of doing things; his record speaks for itself.

Giving in to the fanbase’s perception of how things ought to be done - Saban’s way - is the first step in the way to an eventual ugly divorce imo.

I don't disagree. Just relaying what the narrative is and where it's coming from.

Yup coaches should never give into fans' perceptions. Might as wilt over and turn in your HC card.

There are many more ways than 1 to skin a sheep.

I agree with rules like that to an extent

I have been told that Saban did not allow anyone to talk to him in the office without an appointment. He would enter staff meetings right on time to start and was the first to leave at end of meeting. People did not speak to him unless he spoke to you first. Not sure how strict this was, but former player told a friend of mine that he was very personable and available as long as you scheduled to meet him or he initiated conversation. Very driven and scheduled which are not bad at all.

Bama fans have been broken.

Saying Simpson could save their season 😆

And "that white kid" got lucky to trip up Milroe on the shoestring tackle. Guess he also tripped and fell into the gameclinching INT...man THAT kid has been lucky all season long in fact 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guess they don't want to talk about/attempt to comprehend that if Nico connected with just half of the overthrows, we would have won by 21... Yes, please bring in Ty and see what happens to the remainder of your season.

That's right -- pull an Oklahoma after getting whooped by Tennessee. It'll probably work out just fine.

Let me start this off by saying. I was there again this yrar...like most years. I have invested a lot of money over the years, as most (all Tennessee) fans have.

...but I went Iinto this game with a feeling that it was different. Not a thought it was going to be a blow out either way. Not even that it was going to be a talent win either way. It was going to be down and dirty.

In the sense, I was right. Actually more right than I would ever actually want to be. We sucked offensively for a half, but we won the game.

...for those TN fans that bad mouthed me for smoking cigars...off campus, before the game...🖕.. I drink scotch! Ain't no g ood scotch without a good effing cigar! **ck all of you!!

Good ole Beano. Say what you will about TB, but I have always thought that the callers on his show were far superior to any other show in town. Now, if Jack Burton is one of the callers, I might have to rethink that 😂 😂

The best callers man. Big Josh is #1.
