Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Remember.......Nico is our QB, he chose to be here. These players will figure it out. They are learning, growing. If it isn't this year, next year will be the jump.

I still think we can make the playoffs, big game this weekend, they are giving their all, least we can do it support them. The fans need to step up this weekend and make that place intolerable for the visitors. Bust their eardrums, remember that team gets frustrated on defense. Give em hell and watch them implode!

Go Vols!
That’s the VFL spirit!

15-1 🤠

really is crazy. not sure if its obstinance, laziness, or dont see it as an issue.

This staff HAS to get better with recruiting.
It really doesn’t take a genius, even I can see it, he is injured. I went back and watched him at the beginning of the year and it is obvious when it comes to lateral movement he is hampered.

Matthews reminds me of Jefferson.

Very smooth, great body control, plenty of speed.

Yet we sit him on the bench to play 3 guys that hurt. Just make it make sense.

I’d rather play someone healthy that doesn’t know the playbook then have 3 dudes out there playing 70%…if that, seems like Squirrel has broken every bone in body 🤣

I just watched every Bama offensive snap from the Georgia and South Carolina games. I know Tim Banks knows this, but defending Bama might not be as difficult as everyone seems to make it.

Force Milroe to the left. He doesn't like to run left (always keeps ball in right hand which could lead to fumbles). He isn't as accurate passing left. Most all passes left are short dump offs to TE or quick passes to flat. He does not throw deep to the left. If you force him left, we have a great chance to stymie offense.

Did I mention making him run left? He always runs the opposite direct of WR motion. He almost always looks to bounce it outside to his right while protecting the ball with his right hand.

He hardly throws any balls beyond 10 yards. 85% of his passes are 5 yards or less. His receivers get a LOT of YAC.

When he does throw the ball deep, it's to the right. When he throws beyond 10 yards and it isn't a bomb to the right, it's a crosser going left to right in the middle of the field.

Force him left with everything. We can win this game.

Don’t have an explanation

@MarcoVol needs a 1500 word report on how and why this chain of events have been happening.

Nope. Don’t care either way. You fans who want to complain constantly about failed calls can continue to do so. And I will continue to call you lame for doing so. Funny how you guys only talk about those penalties when we play bad.

I bet fiu to win after they went up 7, and right after I did they lost their starting QB AND their backup qb. So I'm not in the mood to dive into conspiracy theories.

But in general, standard deviations don't begin to even out under a sample size of 20.

Kind of like my saying the universe conspired against me because 1 out of my 14 daily bets had a once a decade situation where both the starting QB and the backup qb got injured in the SAME FREAKING GAME.

Sample sizes matter if you truly want to make a case for a conspiracy. The data definitely warrants further investigation, but this would be a massive conspiracy involving dozens of not hundreds of people, and there's no way something like that gets covered up for over a year in today's day and age. So I'm still going with occams razor.
That went about how I thought it would. Some of you all should get into politics or journalism.

The cast of characters and personalities on this site rivals a Lord of the Rings movie and that's what makes VN special. 20241017_085047.gif
