I know they have a favorable schedule, but man I just have this feeling Mizzou fans are in for a huge wake up call after last season. I think they legitimately believe they are one of the best programs in the country now lol. Going to be a disappointing year for them. Calling it now.

Hate to break it to you guys... No team that can't even fill a stadium where 25% of the seats are gravel is going to be the #1 team in the country. It's in the new NCAA bylaws .

I think its going to be a big financial blow to a lot of folks. Then the shrink bills afterward.
For sure I’m sure people have went into debt gambling. I haven’t deposited in years. I’m just decent enough to break even regularly lol

Seeing people put 5k on a ticket gives me anxiety and it isn’t even my money

Then it really comes down to the person, eh? Asking yourself, do I have an issue? If answer's yes, its yes. If its no, its no.

I see no issue if kept out in front of you.

According to OU fans they are joining a mid tier conference and will have no problem winning 10 games a season. Boy are they about to eat some humble pie
So the Big 12 had how many NCs since its inception? Heck, how many times did one of those teams get to the playoffs or NC game?
The answer is one BCS title by texas.
Last year gave them their 2nd playoff appearance TCU and texas.
Am I missing anything?
Sounds like they are leaving a mid tier conference. Going from the frying pan to the fire is more like it.

The most terrifying moment in life is when the toilet refuses to flush at someone else's house.
We had a worker use the upstairs bathroom in someone's house, but the water was turned off. 😂 You should've seen the look of fear on his face before he started running to the neighbor's to bum a bucket of water.

“Lotto” tickets is what really gets people hooked. Once upon a time I hit a $5 parlay to $1100. I hardly do bets like that anymore but that’s a big reason people love it.

Hell I saw a guy at BA last night with a hat that said “parlay all the way”
Parlays are more like the lottery to me. Lower chance to win, but higher return. I'm ready for a few 3 game +600 parlays though.

I have not spent a penny of my own money so far. . . only because I got bird crapping on my shoulder lucky to start out though. Some people whack a few big bets and try to chase those wins until they're down thousands. . . some go down millions. Insanity.

The people I've seen get in trouble with sports gambling are the people who fancy themselves as some kind of professional handicapper.

I've had people tell me, being completely serious, "Oh I know sports but I don't know anything about stocks, so I make my money betting on sports instead of investing". Hey dummy, the stock market grows on average 10% a year. Which means your baseline is making 10% a year knowing absolutely nothing and "betting" on a bunch of random companies. Sports gambling starts you off with a vig, which means a baseline of -5%. So to make money, you have to be more than 5% better than some of the most talented statistical modeling experts in the world. Whole entire teams of them. All of that to say, if you are not a world class statistician, you are not a "professional gambler" lol.

My rule for gambling is quite simple. Don't bet on any games you aren't going to watch. Having a small amount of money on a game can make it way more entertaining. Also more fun and safe if you start with a solid understanding of the fact you are not going to make real money doing this.

OU has a BCS title. They had a feller named Josh Heupel at QB in that championship.

I agree, but my wife thinks they're nasty and refuses to allow it in there. So, I tell her she is responsible for any and all consequences created by our guests.
There is no worse situation for a guest. A small amount of grossness of a plunger is worth not putting your guest through one of the most humiliating things they could possible experience.

Yeah could never be me lol

I do have a $10 future on Phillies to win the WS. Don’t tell anybody

😂
