We actually enjoyed it. Went to a Giants game and did the street cars and stuff and had some really good food. The GG bridge was cool and we walked it. We were in Union Square where it is considered one of the safe spots. I have seen more homeless in Chattanooga but we did not go to the Tinderloin area where it is a mess. Going into Oakland looked like a war zone. It was ugly.

Union Square used to be considered safe. It hasn't been safe for quite a while now. Retailers have been leaving Union Square in droves (along with the rest of SF as well) due to sky high retail theft. Union Square is where the 49ers rookie, Ricky Pearsall, was robbed at gunpoint and shot last week. People get lucky and have no issues in dangerous places all the time. That doesn't make the place safe.

It’s better for football when the traditional powers are great. Michigan, Tennessee, USC, Miami, Notre Dame being playoff teams is far preferable to Cincinnati, Boise State, Clemson, Washington, Michigan State, etc being playoff teams.

Nebraska and UCLA are the last of the fallen powers that need to get their **** together
