Recruiting Football Talk VIII

At this point in the game, it just looks like the guys from Wake Forest want it way more than we do. They have a different level of energy in their dugout versus ours.
 
If you're striking everyone out and not having a bunch of guys on base its hard to turn double plays.

I'm trying to find a correlation between pitching and double plays.
First, we are not striking everyone out. We do strike a lot of people out. Those numbers are exacerbated by non-conference play. We do not have many guys that stay low in the zone and get ground ball outs. We stay up in the zone. It gets you strikeouts but also gives up walks and long balls.

My biggest issue with our staff this year is the poor location on 0-2 and 1-2 counts. We are throwing too many meatballs on those counts.
