Recruiting Football Talk VIII

So that's going to rely more on officials recognizing real injuries on the field before spotting the ball and for Kiffin to have his guys fake injuries quicker once a play is over...maybe even having them fake the injury before the play is over.
Yep, you will see players that are on the opposite side of the field from the play going down before the whistle even blows.

McAfee takes over that spot. Probably wont use the headgear props but as the not so fast my friend guy...
Ya, he's a great addition to game day. Fills Lee's role nicely. I honestly stopped watching GameDay until they brought him on. Not a huge fan of him overall, but he's perfect for that spot on GameDay and has made it enjoyable again.

@TN-POSSUM started watching College GameDay again when he found out Nicky poo was going to be onset...

Best thing about him is being friends with Peyton, which gives him a soft spot for UT. Nice to finally have that on Gameday. He’s polarizing, but at least he likes us.

McAfee is great in limited doses (like I could never sit and listen to his pod/show bc it’s too much).

Say whatever you want about him but that guy knows how to work a crowd.

Surprisingly quiet now that the Portal window opened. Speaking of one that announced, why would Slaughter enter the Portal? Wasn't he going to start?

Big Nic and his tag along son picking UCLA is proof that their talk about the offense and the supporting players were obvious lies, for the few (if there are any) who didn't already see through it. It was a greedy, inept, hostile money play.
This is travel ball mentality. Too many want to take their kid to show out with less talented players. Madden will follow within the next year, IMO.

Altmeyer is still going to be a hard pull. He will get a raise at Illinois and it’s a system he’s already had success in. Compare that to having to learn the offense and win the locker room over in a few months before playing one of the hardest schedules in the country and everyone looking at you because of the Nico drama. It would probably take $4 million honestly.

If you can get Avery out of KSU, you absolutely do it. His game is very Hendon like. Going to be a tough pull though. Hit him with your best offer and maybe he bites. Keep Luke, who I think is still an upgrade from Nico, especially from the mental side, as a back up plan. Either way, you are golden for 2025 season. This isn’t going to drag out, once portal opens it will end quickly. 😁
Bump for positive vibes and updates.

Pros are he's transfered before.
