Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Did we figure some things out in the second half last night
I feel like we have a ton of positives from the second half to keep improving through the bye week
This team is real close to being the team nobody wants to see in the playoffs
I think the offense figured out if they just simply execute the plays they can win every game. The big plays have always been there but you still have to catch the ball, not fumble, block like you have in the past, and last but not least Nico settling down on deep throws and limiting freshman mistakes.

Oregon has a tough schedule ahead. Hosting Illinois and traveling to Michigan in the next two weeks. If they survive those they could overlook Maryland or at Wisconsin before hosting Washington to end the season. Don't see them going unscathed but they could.

Ohio State has to go to Happy Valley Nov 2. Hope James Franklin finally gets his signature win lol. The lucky SOBs get Indiana and Michigan at home to end the season.

Penn State has to avoid getting upset this weekend on the road against Wisconsin. Then hosting Ohio State. At Minnesota Nov 23rd is not going to be fun.

Miami has an absolute cakewalk of a schedule. Get this: They haven't played a single currently ranked team. They end with FSU, Duke, at Georgia Tech, Wake, and at Syracuse. They've won 3 of 7 by 1 score. The ACC is a joke for that schedule.

Clemson hosts Louisville next week then goes to Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh back to back. Ends with South Carolina. They have to win out imo then thrash Miami in the ACC championship for a spot.

Iowa State should win out and make BIG12 champ game. At Utah and hosting K State are probably the toughest games left.

BYU is in the same boat. At Utah (Holy War) and at ASU are toughest games left.

Undefeated Iowa State and undefeated BYU in Big 12 Championship Game is a real possibility.

SMU and K State just hoping 1 of them slips up.

Last tidbits from current AP Poll:

Indiana has their season in their hands. They're DOMINATING opponents. If Tayven Jackson picks up where statter left off then watch out. They'll end the season hosting Michigan, at OSU, and hosting rival Purdue to make the Big10 Champ game and imo make CFP.

Pittsburgh is undefeated but might have the toughest remaining schedule of a non-SEC ranked team. At SMU, host Clemson, at Louisville, at Boston College. Circle the Clemson game, because winner likely makes the ACC championship game against Miami (unless stuff gets weird)

Oregon will crush Michigan. Illinois won't be an easy one, but they should win that. I think the only game Oregon might lose is the BIG championship game.

PSU and OSU have some show downs ahead including the head to head. Winner likely gets Oregon. Illinois is the fly in the ointment.

In the ACC... Miami is a lock to go to Charlotte. Clemson is the other, but they do have tougher games, relatively speaking.

I think Pitt is the game to keep an eye on there. I think USCe may actually be they hardest game left. They're playing well, and defensively they can give Clemson similar problems as UGA.
But yeah the ACC is a joke.

We just need to keep winning and let it all hang out at UGA.

Oregon looks small for a contender. Physical teams with a good running game can run on them. If them and osu play in indy, i think osu will beat them.

Texas injuries at rb will probably cost them in the playoffs. They hve no running game whatsoever.

Miami is 1 win max in the playoff.

Osu owns psu and james franklin.

Clemsux, they alright. Once they face another good defense, that qb will fold like a cheap beach chair.

Essentially every team has flaws
