Recruiting Football Talk VII

A lot of focus on expanding the TV footprint into new states. A NC or VA school is more attractive then adding Clemson or FSU since the SEC is already in those states.

You have to wonder at what point does the SEC start kicking teams out. Why does the SEC want Vandy? Should they ditch USC and add Clemson? That kind of stuff is on its way as well.
The SEC can not kick teams out who are in good standing and no one is leaving. This isn't the Bachelor or Survivor.

So, if it is still 8 conference games for 2025, will we still play Bama? I know Vandy is supposed to be the permanent opponent for Tennessee in an 8 game conference schedule for football, under the scenarios that I saw when this whole deal with OU and Texas joining the SEC started.
I saw speculation on Twitter, and I kinda like the idea. For 2025 flip everyone's schedule from 24. Then in 26 everyone starts fresh for a 9 game schedule.

The NIT games last night were pretty competitive.

Of course Providence got beat by B.C.

Don't think Providence best player even played Devin Carter..

Appears from what I read the rumor is we keep the same schedule as this year but flip the home and aways

Dumb but we should have an easier schedule again that way

Go to 9 and be done with it

JP Prince scored 18 points and Scotty Hopson had 17 to lead sixth-seeded Tennessee to an 83-68 victory over Ohio on Saturday and give the Vols their third Sweet 16 berth in four years. The other starters pitched in, too: Brian Williams and Wayne Chism had 12 rebounds apiece, and Bobby Maze had nine assists.

But Pearl wanted them to share the celebration with the reserves who filled in after a New Year's Day gun, drug and alcohol bust left Tennessee with just six scholarship players.

The Vols took the lead with an 18-2 run that started with 12 minutes left in the first half, turning a two-point deficit into a 14-point lead. Ohio kept firing 3-pointers -- they tried 26 in the game, making 10 -- but never got any closer than 50-45 on Freeman's 3-pointer with 13 minutes to play.

That was a fun team… has anyone ever discussed possibly getting Bruce Pearl back?

Also off 85 in Mt Holly. 1st exit into Gaston County (x27) The project i am building now is very close to you though at 85 and Mallard Creek. 2 exits south of Concord Mills etc. (X46) there are probably a dozen posters here in the greater Charlotte area. Pretty cool. Wish I could go see Knecht and the basketVols play this weekend downtown. Bet you could buy scalp tickets for dirt cheap an hour or 2 before tip downtown...
Matthews area here 👋.

Commercial or residential? I work for a commercial GC.
