Lol! Exactly what I was thinking and then I scrolled down and saw the Joey part. Glad it wasn't just me. 🤣

Having watched and researched shows and literature on the Cartels and CBP. Cocaine demand & product availability are the highest theyve ever been.

With State's legalizing...There is 0 reason that MLB cant allow players to do a quick line before a pitch. Combine that with steroids, and I think we as fans will see a great product.

Nevermind the player safety issued and health related issues. Its all about us, the fans. Amirite??
I don't want to see that 💩

I’d side more with it being closer to a FACT when the story from an unaffiliated Athletic writer came out a week or two ago. Now with recent developments, it smacks of DAMAGE CONTROL. Sounds like Fiti and his dad like Deboer and don’t want to get him in trouble.
Glad you responded with the truth. He loves to knee-jerk the other way without bringing the receipts.

True, but srill, we don't know what really happened.

Is this directed at me? If so, what the heck are you talking about? Where are your "receipts"?

I don't jump to conclusions on such rumors; it's always wait til the facts are known, even against Bama.

Tennessee was probably favored to start because Kentucky’s defense is every bit as bad as people say. The question is just whether or not our offense will take advantage of it.

Narrator voice: And they did take advantage of it.

(Also of note, I ended up betting UT+1.5 and OVR about an hour before tip. I don't know if this team will go farther than past teams in March, but I love watching them play.)

Dang you got a good number. I didn't even look until after tip and once we got to the hot start I knew we weren't getting a good number.
I wanted + money.

probably about right, in February. still a lot of moving pieces for pretty much every team. and plenty of room for mobility, up and down. Bama gets the credit for being Bama...but i don't "know" they're right behind UGA. top 4, yeah probably.

Texas...legit. LSU....maybe legit? they lost a heisman winner at QB, so drop off much? Oklahoma.....hmmm. Ole Miss, i think they move up actually. schedule is soft. Tennessee...well, i think we can certainly move up, but as of right now, probably about right. aTm....interesting, lots of "new". a little like Bama, i think they get 'credit' b/c of the roster....but a lot unproven there....Auburn...year 2 with Freeze....Missouri...seems low given what they return and that schedule. honestly, i don't care about the rest, but i will say FL is all the way down there b/c of how difficult the schedule is. which is why i'm a little iffy on why Mizzou and Ole Miss aren't higher, for the opposite reason regarding schedule strength.
in reality, once you get past the top 2, some of these teams i think get pretty interchangeable, until you get outside the top 10.

UGA
Texas
Ole Miss
Bama
LSU
Mizzou
TN
OU
aTm
Auburn

*edit...i do realize the point of pate's power ratings....not being 'rankings'....

or Alabama bought their silence.

Again, either way AD’s are affected by boosters splitting their donations between NIL and AD when it used to all go to the AD.
i think with the TV revenue, they're much less dependent on booster $. they're never gonna turn it down obviously, but if that money goes to getting good players and you are a regular in the post season....and the product overall is good, then TV revenue is still the big $$$.

where it gets interesting is if this evolves in to a revenue share for players, and then that could be something that affects title ix, in terms of creating a salary base etc....to spread across athletic deparments. AD's don't want that, probably.

with NIL as it stands right now, it is market based, and valuations mater as to who gets what, and how much. so there'll be a natural disparity between many in football and those in other sports like baseball, softball, and olympic sports. and as long as that's market driven, i think that's ok. but if they ever do move to a revenue share, the water gets muddy real quick i think.

I have nosed around on this thing for a while. Trying to find expert opinion on the subject. It's very broad in scope on face of it.

Tennessee released its slimmed down argument yesterday. Very compelling to me. NCAA really doesnt have a leg to stand on.

Tennessee may be guilty of flying a recruit. It may lose post season this or that. But man, NCAA's nuts are in a vice on issue of player compensation and rights issues.
A postseason ban would be a catastrophe.
