Recruiting Football Talk VII

UT has not received the official NOA. But if the NCAA is throwing around LOIC, they think they have multiple L1 and L2 violations-- enough to hit UT with LOIC as a repeat violator. UT obviously thinks not.

But... when you're cherry-picking programs to selectively enforce rules that didn't even exist when an SA was recruited-- while redefining entities to be something other than what they were legally established to be-- then you can probably manufacture a laundry list of violations on the fly.
Gotcha. So the 247 guys were saying that, as of right now, the NCAA is losing big in the court of public opinion, which I think we can all agree that they are. So their point was in order to try and curb that, we should expect the NCAA, IF they have anything on us, to start leaking some “accusations” to mouthpieces like Forde.

If I’m understanding you correctly, no one at the university level seems to think they have anything. Thus, whatever may be thrown out there in the coming days (and if nothing then silence probably speaks volumes for the NCAA’s case), is most likely still the NIL/Spyre stuff and nothing on say Heupel or another program coach?

You never know, but neither party in this is behaving as though the NCAA has a trump card to play.

Hell will freeze over before Tennessee gets out of Rump Arena with a victory..

Kentucky is a Blue Blood, that they need in tournament.

Game will be close but Im like others don't believe Refs let Tennessee win ,it's fluent..

Also I don't complain about officials but I'm not stupid either this game is a no win situation.

Both teams coming off a loss, no way the SEC lets Kentucky lose 2 in a row at Rupp Arena.
It's funny because you make fun of others for saying it's corrupt and manipulated if not outright fixed...and now you just admitted that it is corrupt and manipulated..so..turns out you're not a damn blind fool afterall...just a damn "go along" fool..😂

If that is the avenue they take, seems like they will continue losing in the court of public opinion

These guys will have most of you jazzed. They are not typically big UT fans.

He's right about the approach. The NCAA should've said, "ok, we didn't have rules at the beginning but we're going to establish them now. Let's talk." For the life of me, I can't figure out why they're taking the approach that they are. It's like the NCAA wants to destroy itself. Even as bad as it is right now they could likely salvage the situation if they were willing to take a different approach. But they've proven time and again that they won't.

It's as though they have an institutional death wish.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely 💯

Nothing to do with UT.

I'm saying NiL is 100% a tax on fans that unis should be paying and the schools and ncaa are full of crap avoiding paying as they should.

While idk about collective bargaining specifically - I 100% think contracts are a must-need and the end game in all of this.

The current scheme of transfer freedom and lack of nil uniformity isn't sustainable.
The schools would have to get a collective bargaining agreement..there is NO way to have or enforce any rules with out one.

The issue then becomes...the players have to unionize so a CBA can be hashed out.

You wanted it to be professional..well this is what being a professional is...you have to give something to get something.

On the surface it would make sense. But like I said they’ve lost to 2 teams at home that hurt their résumé much worse than a loss to Vols would. Losing Sat doesn’t hurt them at all.

But I feel you. Should be a fun game to watch!
Kentucky really needs a win now...that is the difference...I have seen this happen over and over again.

Let me ask you a question...did you really not see Pat Adams deliberately try and shut down our momentum every damn time we started to get a little Tuesday night?

Those were some pure 🦬💩 calls too...he didn't make us lose, our FT percentage did that...but he sure as hell made it likelier.
