Just watched SHHS Men's Varsity Bball tonite. WTH has happened to this program? They were out talented, out coached, and out classed by Unicoi.

I cannot believe the difference in this team versus our teams from the 90's, and early 2010's. At 45, I may have been able to sink a shot, or two.

I’m assuming SHHS is science hill?

When I was in HS (graduated 2011), they were always good, men and women. Our women’s team played them in 2012 in state tourney

I’d already have at least one in the boat.
No worries though! We’re waiting till spring to find the right high character guy with 300 yards receiving and 88 receptions last year.

Same applies for TE, OL, DL, the secondary.

Which 2 do you consider that elite?

Why hasn’t anyone else scooped them up? i’m assuming if they are two of the best wrs in the country that multiple schools are fighting over them right now.

My early receiver portal want is Jamori Maclin. Jeremy Maclins cousin. Originally was at Mizzou but transferred to North Texas and is now back in the portal as a GT with two years eligibility.

I’d be willing to bet he ends back at Missouri but I’ve been watching some of his game highlights and he can play. He’d be an instant upgrade to our room.

Three words sums it up.

George Pitts left.

He was a generational coach.

There was a coach after him in early 10's, still a skinny white guy. Total prick. Ken something, cant recall. They were ok. Played some teams tough in the Arby's classic. Remember them playing that Bolivar Central team, in Arbys Classic.

They were well coached, and played hard. Biggest difference to me was talent level. SHHS was loaded in Pitts' days. I dont know what that was, or what is going on now. But it isnt even close. They were down by 18 to Unicoi at one point.

They looked completely lost on defense. Werent running any plays until 2nd quarter. Then it was still a drive lane and kick out.

Unicoi was better coached but still stymied by talent level. Crazy.

I could care less who Heupel hires. I’ll wait for the results. But if the DBs still look terrible, then that’s on him for the hire. But if they look great, then win for us.

Still not sold on Hazel yet. Pope was a good hire though.

Not saying fire him. But not ready to determine if he was or wasn't yet.

I think scheme needs to change on the defensive side of the ball. WM isn't the main issue imo. I won't rehash all that though.
