So we whiffed on burns because Lanier said we are saving schollys for next year but this comes two days after a crystal ball that has burns to us. Am I following fellas?

We have 12 on scholly. Burns would make 13.

Explain how else we would “keep a spot available in case something develops” other than missing on Burns who is our last likely possibility for 2018.

Lanier said they don't anticipate adding to the roster. Lots of things need to happen for Burns to be added, so Lanier isn't "anticipating" it to happen. Burns could be the Stokes type of addition.

247 still shows him as a 2019 recruit. Maybe he still needs to do some work to be admitted.

He needs motivation to recruit IMO. Given his assistant’s statements.

FWIW South Carolina Rivals site mods which have been saying for weeks they think they land Burns are now saying it’s too close to call one way or that other in their opinions.

His focus is winning...if his program isn’t winning enough he will do whatever is needed imo, whether that be changing recruiting strategies or player development or hiring new assistants etc.

Like I’ve said, Barnes is using the same number of evaluation days as he has each previous recruiting cycle.

I'm fine with the coaches not sharing the real time status of the recruiting process with everybody. How much advance information was shared before guys like Williams, Daniel, Darrington, Walker, and Pons were signed? IMO, keeping the fans up to date at every step along the way doesn't even need to be included in their job descriptions. It can all be smokescreening as far as I'm concerned.
