I’m curious. Do some of y’all think Rob Lanier is a complete dumbass?

Nope, how smart is he is the question? Smart enough to include Burns and Fore on the roster when answering that question? Or not that smart? Smart enough to not ruin the kids announcement? Or not that smart? Smart enough to not really give a $h!t what fans take his answer to mean? Or not that smart?

My head hurts lol

Just thought this was an interesting development. Wish it would’ve happened earlier, we may have had a chance.

My reaction to the freak out. Like I said, gonna be fun to watch you these next couple months, you’ll be building a statue of Fulmer on campus is my guess.

I just hope we actually land some players. How we get there really doesn’t matter as long as we get there.

Love that you’re letting Bruin guide your thinking though. He’s passed you in the “Rick Barnes has never and never will do anything wrong” department.

Another possibility is that 2019 is going pretty well and they want to use the scholarship in that class. Then awarding the remaining 2018 scholarship to one of the walk-ons might be a better idea than taking what's left from the group of available grad transfers.

Not worth the freak out IMO. One-and-dones and grad transfers would likely come with issues... may not be worth adding what's available to the roster. The team finally has pretty good experience so a Lew Evans type (maturity and experience) isn't as important as it was 2 years ago.

What was CRB's exact quote? Adding to the roster or using (filling) the scholarship? If the latter, it could mean it will be used by a walk-on.

Not sure what you mean, I scoffed at that comment as soon as I saw it and this boards reaction, predictable.

Why wouldn’t we have a chance? Whiffing on Burns means we have an open scholarship, surely we will pursue him...or was Lanier serious we are done for 2018?

Talking about the Fulmer thing. Made one comment about Fulmer possibly having a positive impact on recruiting. Predictably you and Bruin go ape **** over that while other reasonable posters see it as a possibility.

Could be keeping a spot available in case something develops. Jarnell Stokes would have never been a Vol had Cuonzo used up that scholarship.

You're really bad about saying people post stuff they've never posted... and then arguing about it for a couple of pages.

TGO - under what scenario would we.....

We have 12 on scholly. Burns would make 13.

Explain how else we would “keep a spot available in case something develops” other than missing on Burns who is our last likely possibility for 2018.
