Has to be a gaurd imo. Means we got the guy from Richmond I would guess

We have 2 open spots, all we have brought in is Burns and Fore. If both of those guys were no goes then I’m guessing the staff would be bringing in other graduate transfers, many have come available but I haven’t seen us mentioned with any of them.

I would be shocked if the staff was fine with rolling with tuner and Bone being the only 2 that can play PG. I don't see anyone else being able to

I think they would definitely like to add a grad transfer PG, at this point seems like they’re gonna give Fore some time and go from there. They can find someone in May/June who can at the very least give depth for a year.

I Am confused. You say they have to know that have someone. I am saying they have to add a Backup PG.
If so who else could it be?

A tidbit about Leque.

Five players you must see at Nike EYBL Dallas | USA TODAY High School Sports

Jalen Lecque, Renaissance (N.Y.), SG, 2019

College: Undecided

Why you can’t miss him: Lecque is a walking highlight reel with mind-boggling athleticism and a quick first step that allows him to beat his defender off the dribble often. Lecque has drawn comparisons to Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook; that alone means you have to watch him.

I guess I don't see the two connected. Really need a backup PG

We have 2 open spots, who is the staff pursuing?

With graduate transfers being immediately eligible less and less teams are rolling with open scholarships, you can take a guy even if he amounts to a practice player, no big deal.

So with 2 open scholarships we have brought in Fore and Burns...if both had made it known they weren’t coming don’t you think staff would be pursuing other targets? Yes they would like a backup PG, they appear ok to allow Fore take some visits and decide what is important, but that still means we have an open spot and aren’t pursuing anyone else???

I am just saying they feel good about Fore or we would be hearing other names

Gotcha...saw some public comments too saying Calipari wants Green back and to be the teams leadwr, if that happens and assuming Hagans reclasses as expected I’m not sure why Lecque would really even consider UK.

I'm not even sure why he'd consider them regardless of Green's decision. Already would be competing with Quickley, and possibly Haggans at PG, and Johnson and Herro at SG, plus Jemarl Baker who would return from injury. UK is knee deep in guards without Lecque. Surely he'd look for a more direct path to significant minutes.

Mu thought was if Green left they don’t really have SF’s, I figured Johnson and Baker would get minutes at the 3, opening up minutes at the 2 which would be split between all those guards at the 1/2.

Possible. Baker is definitely more of a SG, but Johnson can definitely play some 3 at 6-6, 210 lbs. Herro may even be more likely at SG than Baker. That is one position (SF) they are a little thin at, but they can probably go big and Vanderbilt or Washington (assuming he returns) play some SF alongside Richards and Montgomery.

And throw in there that they are after Maxey as well to reclassify and I just don’t know why they would even be considered if you’re Lecque...I do think North Carolina would be attractive, they have a serious need at PG.

That's not what I wanna hear.

I don’t think Lecque is gonna reclassify and have only Tennessee pursuing him, would be nice but I’m guessing he will have plenty of suitors.

However I will say at quick glance it appears UNC is full on scholarships, so maybe they won’t have room.

No I don’t think it happens, but...

What kind of hype is there around the program if Lecque and Burns were to reclassify to 2018 and both choose Tennessee?

UNC signed 5 Star PG Coby white this year .
