Vols getting in-home with five-star Stewart and also getting to host Tandy this week (per 247) are both huge for this 2019 class. Really like Tandy and don't see why he's not a four-star.

It's hard to find the appeal of a team that went 15-15 & 5-13 in conference over their (Akinjo and Yurtseven) other options.

I’m not saying some shady stuff ain’t happening, but it definitely makes you wonder given those 2 commits.

My guess is Ewing is going out and recruiting like second-year head coaches do and overselling the program and getting kids to come.

It has nothing to do with recruiting good grief. The kid is a protected draft choice and is going to sit out. That's dumb

He’s not doing it because Georgetown is paying more than the NBA though.

If that is the case it makes a bit more sense that he wouldn’t have been highly pursued...a team has to save a scholarship for him until possibly June, at that point you likely end up holding the open spot for next class.

If I’m Tennessee I inquire about Xavier Johnson, pretty decent offer list, recently de-committed from Nebraska. He’s from close to DC so was y’all about Georgetown but with them landing Akinjo maybe they’re less attractive now.

Pretty remarkable that so many decommits, grad transfers and guys released from their LOI in the spring fit the RB recruiting profile that I'm told we are using to find our players.

Well I'm always told that being able to buy in to RB's program and hard coaching eliminates kids from our board.

Then seemingly half the players that become available in April-June end up on our radar.

Who? Because I mentioned a kid means they’re interested? How many recruits has Tennessee been involved with this spring cycle?

McEwen, Akinjo and Fore appear to be the only 3 they’ve had much contact with...maybe you can throw in Curry but with his grade situation that’s debateable. So 3-4 guys is half of the guys that have come available?

Since then, Simons decommitted due to FBI deal and ends up on our radar.

Akinjo gets a release - on our radar.

Fore becomes a grad transfer - on our radar.

We have had zero traction with a single recruit after the November signing day except guys who re-entered the market.
