Based on what's happened off the court, then yes, it's real smart. I'm not even thinking about his on the court failures

Oh. I got ya. I doubt they let him go over this. The AD has already said he isn't implicated as doing anything wrong. He addressed it when it was called to his attention.

Tennessee head coach traveled to Concord (N.C.) Cannon School on Monday to visit 2018 top 50 prospect Jairus Hamilton per recruiting analyst Rick Lewis.

Hamilton, a 6-8 small forward is ranked No. 38 in the 247Sports Composite.

Many have offered, but North Carolina is considered the favorite in the Crystal Ball to land Hamilton.

With the addition of Bowden you'd have to think at least 1 guard/wing will redshirt ideally, Johnson/Parker seem like the most likely candidates.

Since they are rated higher than Bowden why wouldn't he be just as logical to reshirt.

Both of those guys are in serious need of some added strength, more Johnson than Parker, however with Turner & Bone at point it would seem Parker will have trouble finding big minutes regardless, that's why I included him.

Finish this class with the kid from turkey and this turns into a A class for sure.

Really need him to get some real buzz and optimism for next year.

Without him there is real optimism for the long term but not much in the short term IMO

Yea, Yurtseven is the only guy at this point I've seen who I feel if we land can really want speed up this rebuild, would be awesome.

Currently our class sits at the 44th overall rank, and 6th in the SEC on 247. In the SEC that's not bad.

Add Yurtseven and we shoot up to 17th in the current rankings, and 3rd in the SEC. That's a huge foundation to build off of, and GFW makes me very optimistic. Gonna be very interesting.

What is your thinking on our chances?

Mine was next to zero but GFW post made my attention perk up

I've maintained we have a chance, but don't have any info to lean me in either direction previously. Tennessee was in early, and Tennessee has as much playing time and shot/rebounds as the guy can handle available, those are 2 things many schools on his list can't say. Obviously the negative is that we are down, and a NCAAT is no guarantee (chances increase with him), so he may not get the spotlight some of those others schools can offer.

Correct. Kasongo isn't gonna leave mid semester and be an academic risk to his next school, he likely finishes out the semester and is gone.
I didn't imply he was going leave mid semester, not sure where you got that from? If he already made up his mind to transfer, I'm not sure how announcing later would benefit him. To me it seems the earlier he announces his decision to transfer, then more schools have a chance to recruit his talents.

And you can announce and still finish your semester..
