Was just looking around at some different names, Justin Tuoyo is a guy that could be a grad transfer you'd think. He played freshman season at VCU, transferred to UTC, redshirted and has played the last 2 seasons for the Mocs.

He's 6'10" 220lbs, originally from GA, has averaged around 10.5ppg 6rpg 3bpg at Chattanooga and was named SOCON defensive player of the year last season.

He hasn't announced anything, and it's entirely possible UTC would block UT as we play next season, but just a guy who popped on that you'd have to think we would be interested in if he were to come available.

Can schools block grad transfers? I thought they were free to go wherever they pleased if the former school didn't offer their graduate program.

I thought that too, but then I remember when Antonio Barton was transferring Pastner supposedly blocked some schools, some I'm not 100%. I would be curious to know if there's been cases of guys transferring in conference or to same year scheduled teams.

I doubt he did, cause he would've blocked ut surely. Wouldn't he?

Looks like Cal and CCM are gonna lose three first rounders this spring. Two of them are projected lottery picks.

They just lost a 4* 2016 signee. They now have 1 player committed for 2016. Unranked.

2017 class has commits from two 3* players. One of them is ranked.

There is starting to be some worry that Zo may not be retained

Yes, schools can block grad transfers. One example is SF Aaron Brown. He went to Boston College but was blocked by Southern Miss from going to Tennessee. He averaged almost 15ppg playing for an ACC team. He would have helped big time at Tenn. you should not be able to block them from another school.

Thanks, and I agree. It seems to be counter-intuitive to the intent of the rule. But hey, it's the NCAA.

Didn't I read where the 4seed was the highest in school history?

If so no shot they should even think about letting him walk

He wouldn't be getting fired for performance. It would be for this silly sexual harassment mess.

No way he should be fired but Cal is bizarro world. Would not surprise me.

Got you!

What little I read about that seems like he should be in the clear on that

It happened at the wrong school, apparently it has happened several times with faculty and such so they are having to be much stricter on their protocols.

Crazy season begins, Corey Manigault is a 6'8" 230lb recruit, #161 composite on 247, signed with Pitt. Depending on who is hired he could look around, he's from Virginia.
