Derrick Walker, Jr and Derrick Walker appear to be different people.

Jr is a SG from NC which would be more believable from this staff .

Are we sure we're recruiting the right guy?

Per the twitter account of Derrick Walker Jr. he is the one who received the Tennessee offer, linked on his twitter is his bio which states he's 6'9" 220lbs and played for Mokan Elite AAU...and from Kansas City.

Wouldn't be a surprise, seems somewhat in the mold of a Grant Williams or Isaiah Stokes, weight of a 5 but a bit undersized.

Lot's of video on him. I think he could help. originally 2016. The extra season hasn't hurt his game any.

I cba to look up HS weights but is GW not skinner than Isaiah Stokes? Not that it matters, but GW doesn't strike me as a Jerone Maymon type (body wise, not game wise).

Williams has lost a lot of weight, I'm not sure what he weighed but he was up over 240lbs at one point iirc. Credit to him for really transforming his body in a short period of time, it's made him much more effective away from the basket on both ends.

Thursday , December 8

David Jenkins, who hit five treys, led the Buffs with 22 points, followed by Derrick Walker with 21. Walker was almost unstoppable inside as he went nine of 13 from the line. Trimble added 15, Parrish 14 and A.J. Wilkins 12.

"They are very good,'' Shamburg said. "They are loaded with players. That's the reason why three Division I coaches (Georgia, Oral Roberts and Tennessee) were here today because they have players. I'm disappointed we didn't play for five minutes. There were things we didn't do a very good job of. We had some opportunities to take some charges, but didn't. The little things came back to haunt us. We competed, but we just didn't finish.''

Shamburg said Walker "was unstoppable ... he's really good. That's why Georgia is here to watch him play. He's pretty good. We can't make mistakes with teams with that much talent, but that's what we did.''

Just FYI
Sunrise Christian academy Prep is the school that produced Buddy Hield, Oklahoma guard.
