there was a thread about which guys were gonna be honored on SR day .. those guys are VFL and deserve a standing O, but key contributors are few and far between on that list, (not many more on the JR list in the same thread)

and 1 of the 3 sr starters is jackson who transferred here from usc, a dooley recruit if you will. but im sure the op knew that, looks like he done his research before making this thread.

this is how we ranked in recruiting classes the last few years....

2011..13th
2010..9th
2009..10th
2008..35th!

so the last 3 years we have had top 13 or better but you guys insist that we have a lack of depth and talent...i call bs, seems like we have a lack of ability to do something with the talent we have been getting. all you guys like to point to facts when somebody points the finger at coaching so whats your excuse for us being so pitiful the last 2 years with this much talent coming into the system? does anybody remember what excuses were used last year when we went 6-7?
2008 was Fulmer's class. 2009 was Kiffin's class. Dooley has had 2 recruiting classes. SAnd with Kiffin's 2009 class you have alot left or was a bust. But all of you thought Kiffin was it because of the 5 star players he brought here. JJ, Brown both gone. Oku, Richardson, all gone.

2008-18 signees - 4 four* - 11 three* - 3 two* - of those 7 are gone(sr class)

2009-22 signees - 2 five* - 9 four* - 11 three* - of those 11 of those are gone(jr class)

2010-27 signees - 1 five* - 12 four* - 10 three* - 4 two* - 4 are gone(so class)

2011-27 signees - 12 four* - 14 three* - 1 two* - of those 1 is gone(fr class)

2008-11 players left
2009-11 players left
2010-23 players left
2011-26 players left

so tell me how were NOT yong again.

(FACTS from rivals and ut sports)

And this in what way justifies our inability to establish the run against Non-FBS teams and teams from the Sun-Belt. By your logic, we are two years away. What happens when we lose 15 starters to grad in two years. then we get to go through this again. Thats if he can develope those underclassmen. By the looks of the O-Line, it would appear that they are going in the wrong direction.

You can make progress or make excuses, but you can't make both. There is no excuse for where UT is ranked in rushing. I remember when UT lost Webb and Cobb and managed to run the ball well with Tony Thompson.

Hell, has Dooley even tried handing off to a full back? Not that I recall. There are major fundemental flaws in the offense. It's a shame, because I've got to spend some time with coach Chaney, but reality is reality.

are we talking about running against non-fbs teams and sun-belt teams or are we talking about winning games and not getting blown out?

Have you been living under a rock? I guess you have only been following UT football since 2010.

Easiest add to my ignore list ever.

OP must have been in a vegetative state up until a few days ago.

Hope the full function of your brain returns... if it was ever there.

I'm with you. OP is either ridiculously uninformed or trolling. Either way, I will no longer care for his opinion on any. topic. ever.

Ignore button pressing felt pretty good.

I am glad our most influential boosters and decision makers inside the Athletic Dept aren't as uneducated about our program as 90% of our fanbase is. Pathetic.

He obviously doesn't, and more than likely won't respond in this thread.

yeah i know a lot of people left..who doesnt know that, all im saying is that recruiting was supposedly getting better for dooley on paper but the winning is getting harder to come by,,,hes lost out there and as the years roll by it will become more and more obvious. maybe his orange dog will pull him out a win this weekend. i think most of you guys are on the coaching staff as delusional as you are about the shape of things in knoxville.

I'm embarrassed for you.

dont be...im embarrassed for the team..im ashamed to be seen in an orange shirt, whens the last time you saw someone with a tn flag flying on their car? look around for someone wearing a vols shirt...lowest attendance at neyland since they expanded to 100000 seats you say? i would say its a sinking ship but its already sunk, its funny people say we would be set back years with a new coach but they dont mind the current coach already setting us back years.

if things arent looking better next year(his 3rd year), then people should have concerns. anyone bashing him at this point has no idea what is going on with the program or the job these coaches have at hand. anyone wanna guess why coaches wouldnt take this job 2 years ago? i applaud dooley for having the balls to walk into this mess and try to turn things around. good thing it doesnt matter what the armchair coaches think, dooley is safe atleast all of next year.

Yeah, I guess losing your Top 5 players on the team and 3 of them would or will be 1st round draft picks and then playing 6 straight SEC games against Top 20 opponents, 4 of them against Top 10 teams with true freshmen scattered across the field is lost on you as to why we aren't dominating.

I have on an orange shirt right now and couldn't be prouder. Got an orange flag flying too. That's just how I roll, I'd rather be a Vol and go 0-11 every year than pull for anybody else. Sounds like you'd rather be a bama fan anyway. We'll not miss ya.
