I think the first 4 there are almost certain, and the final two would just be gravy. Lots of really good gravy.

Looks like Dooley is putting together a solid class. Should be top 15. It sucks though that we'll still be searching for a game changing RB in 2012.. I think that's the only thing standing between Tennessee and an SEC championship.

Should be top 10 before it's all said and done. I would be upset with anything less, given how well everything is falling into place.

Cross is too slow to be a Productive SEC back. Maybe in the Big Ten, but not in the SEC. JMHO, buddy of mine was at the game when he rushed for 200yds, and was named POW, and he said Cross is a LOAD. Very Big.

Said hes sluggish when running the ball. Thinks he would be better at FB or Lb. He doesnt have burst, or Top end speed. You can look at his tape and tell that he wont play TB in the SEC. Im not knocking the guy, but he prob runs a 4.65-4.7 - 40. When your 6'1-6'2 240lbs, and dont have 4.5 speed, you can be a GREAT LB, but not a RB in the SEC.

Remember Eddie Moore, Eric Westmorland? Good Rb's in High school, but was Great LB's for the Vols. Both NFL draft picks. Once again, not knocking the kid, he may lose some weight and gain speed, but hes a Down hill runner that doesnt have Speed. Hes a bulldozer, and thats fine, but I would rather him be a BIG, Bruising LB.

If he gets on campus and gets bigger, that is a definite possibility. But I don't know if we are recruiting him with the intent to make him a linebacker. I don't mind a big bruiser who can move the chains. College training, especially McKeefery, can tailor a guy with this good of a frame who is this athletic to be a very effective tailback. If he can hit a hole and hold onto the football, it will work, even if he is a load.

Oh one more thing, buddy that was at the game, said Cross is prob 250lbs not the 220lbs listed on rivals. Said his legs looked like Tree Trunks. I dont mind a bruiser either, if he comes in and Explodes when running the ball thats OK with me. But I still think when hes just 17 and gonna get bigger, Growing into 6'2 - 6'3 250lbs, thats a MONSTER at LB. I would rather him be at LB than FB. I think you can find his Tape from his POW game, and you can see that he is Bigger than his Youtube video from last year. ALOT BIGGER.

I would definitely rather see him at LB than fullback, agree big time there. My thinking is that if he has the athletic skills to play tailback, and any sort of burst, he would be very very loved in our backfield. Not saying he can't play LB, or that he won't grow even more, just like the idea of him at tailback as well.

What was Travis Henry's 40? I'll take another back like that. Cheeezze

Edit: found it online, ran a 4.61 at his NFL combine workout. He was 5'9" 223lbs. Cross is similar in size and speed, maybe the guy will be a stud.

I like Hill and Cross, especially if they can catch the football.

No way Cross is 250 lbs hes 225 lbs at the most. Ray Lewis is 6'1 250 lbs Cross is no where near the size of Ray Lewis.

He will stay rb. The number of LBs we recruited last year, this year, and probably next year tells me our coaches would not have went after a "project LB" when we have plenty already on board.

What do we not have? A rb that will plow through Dlines and break tackles. Hmmmmm...

Of our 18 commitments, 13 are rated four stars by at least one of the rating services - Rivals, Scout, and ESPN. 6 are rated four star by two of the rating services. McNeil is the only one rated four star by all three. I like this class. Go Vols!

I wonder how good McNeil will be. Can't get a feel of who he may be like.

Anyone else get the feeling that we are gonna get a big time player that we thought had very little or no intersest in us?

Maybe, but this player might be Pig Howard.

If there is one HUGE one that we pull, I think it has to be D Hamilton.

It makes me nervous that there are 0, that's zilch, offensive lineman committed with no prospects even on the board. There has to be some need on the team for this. I trust the coaches, though.

Jelks?

We are young at OL. As stated before, we will take more next year.

Who thinks Cross will decommit? I for one don't think he will after seeing what's in front of him. He'll make a play for the starting spot if the young backs don't do what they need to do.

don't know enough about McNeil to agree with this, but Rivals comparison is Bama alum Roman Harper

LaDarrell McNeil - Yahoo! Sports

Pretty sure Harper was the guy that separated Cory Anderson from the ball (and Tennessee from a win) inside the Bama 10 yard line in 2005

Yeah, I had seen that, I just couldn't picture in my mind how I see him playing, if that makes any sense.

Or how immediate his impact will be.
