I was thinking about this yesterday and remember I actually researched it awhile back. I still don't believe stars and all the hoopla mean very much overall, but this chart makes you think differently somewhat...

Is that the recruiting ranking for the senior classes each of those years?

Is there a reason that I never see the tables or pictures that you post? I'm using Firefox...

I know that some will say that recruiting rankings don't really mean anything, but I think that bottom line still says something.

what are you trying to say..eric?

If you look at the rankings, you can see that we average being 6th in recruiting and 15-17th at the end of the year. You could even look at the 98 team and see that in 95 we had the 12th best class according to Rivals and the 8th best class according to Lemming. So with the classes between 95 and 98 we averaged 5th in the nation in recruiting and we won the NC right after that. My question is, and I will have to dig up some info, were as many SEC schools in the Top 20 in recruiting 10 years ago like they have been in recent times. My gut tells me no, but I will have to look it up.
