I use it to form opinions in regard to recruiting, talent levels, assessing programs (UT and everyone else), etc.

Started keeping it years ago and now that I'm retired just enjoy researching, gathering it, documenting it and sharing it. Keeps my mind active.

Or even staying with their original school - even when they had to sit out a year. (before today's Portal)
