I hope so, cause it didn't look like it this season. Not sure if that was on CJP or Helton. I'd like to think it was Helton, but him being West Coast makes me wonder if it was Pruitt. I guess it could have been a number of things with this line too though

Helton was in over his head, I have no idea why WKU hired him. He didn’t fully call plays at WKU. That was Jeff Brohm’s offense. He split duties at USC working for his brother and I am not 100% convinced he called plays on his own at UT

The great irony is we actually had the personnel to run smash mouth with Butch’s guys with Hurd, Kamara and Peterman and Worley, but no, let’s try to run read option with 2 guys that never kept the ball that ran a 5.2 forty.

Especially with the o-line that bj had his first year. Of course they didn't block for bj but went on to sign on the NFL dotted line.

Word is he has been taken aback this year at UT and as a HC. Sounds like he realized he needs a more modern system on offense. Saw a lot with what Locksley ran at Bama and the modern concepts his old boss ran and is trying to get ahead of the rest of the sec. Knows he cant run smash mouth and outscore teams.
