Are Ut's receivers as bad as they look? Crompton screws a lot of things up, but there are a lot of times when no one creates any separation. Things are pretty bad when your best receiver is a true freshman running back.

Some things I have noticed. UT has some speed at wideout in Nuke, Teague and Moore. Why not run these guys straight out in deep posts and bomb away a little????????????????? We haven't even tried a bomb once. Crompton sucks, but he has a strong enough arm to air it out there. I feel like Nuke's speed has been negated thus far. We aren't even taking advatage of it. Why not give him some dumps at least like we do with Brown? And what about Oku? These guys all need to be getting more freakin touches.

Is Hancock still injured? He was by far our best WR. I think Green being ineligible has really hurt us. We should be much improved talent wise next year with Ambles, Milton, Cobbs and Green ready to go. Our offense should look completely different. But for now, I feel like the talent we have isn;t being utillized. Where is Teague? Can he also not get open? BB looks to be our most consistent rec eiver thus far.

Hancock is still out.

We tried a Go route to Teague against Ohio, Crompdaddy overthrew it.

Teague hurt his hand/wrist against Ohio in the first half. He only played one snap in second half. Ran straight up field, covered, Crompton over threw him again. The first one was Crompton fault hands down. The second one, Im not sure.

Im not stressing anymore over the WR, CrompDaddy, how bad we beat someone or how bad we dont! We are rebuilding and have some absolute studs coming in next year. Nuke and Teague will get better and you add the WR's and a 4* QB that we have coming in. Im more than content with whatever happens this year cause the future is what its all about right now!

Whatever the case, I expect Ambles and Milton to have immediate impacts. I will be very dissapointed if they are relative unknowns at this point next season as Nuke and Teague are. I personally would like to see Teague playing in the secondary as well. Vinson proved we have little depth there.

Can't you envision how Milton and Ambles will perform in the future...

I'll say this. Our receivers are as inconsistent as they look.
They can be good, and they can drop 4 balls a game. They are straight-up inconsistent.

I think Warren will continue to get more opportunities. Good things tend to happen when we throw his way.

The freshmen should get a pass cause they are freshman the real disappointment is the way Jones and Warren have performed so far you can see the ability Warren has on some of the catches he has made.

I gave up on Warren a long time ago. He like Crompton, is a talent who can't seem to put it together. Jones' play has been really surprising. I like to think it is because of the ankle injury.

This is hardly the most talented receiving corp we've ever had but, c'mon, nobody thought our '07 group was all that either and we still finished 2nd in the league in passing offense. WR's without QB play are just downfield blockers for your RB's.

Warren is playing the WR position for the first time in his career. Been playing TE and DE most of his life, so cut the kid some slack. That's not an easy transition. I think he'll possibly become a major factor as the season progresses, provided someone can get the ball to him. My only concern with Warren is his heart. He seems to leave practice alot for minor issues.
