You cannot really go by that. Different school and coaching staff, different offense, different head coach, and a different environment. Really think the QB coaching will be by group at first in the development of things to come. This is why I see BJ as a potential starter over Cromption. Think that he has better decision making and leadership skills.

Not trying to argue with you BBurger. Both Smelley and Garcia have talent, as does Crompton. I'm just saying none of these guys have shown me anything above average on the college level yet. I would love to see Cromton prove us all wrong about his ability. And as Sudden Impact says, environment, surrounding talent and coaches have a lot to do with that sometimes. I just don't think CDR has had the QBs or the opportunity to show what kind of coaching ability he has . Hopefully he can show us CLK made a great choice. I'm behind him 100% untill he proves otherwise.

I really don't know fbvol. I was just responding to original post. I wonder how much individual coaching he will be allowed to do and how much will be scripted by CLK and CJC. He's had some good sources to learn from all his life with his dad, CSS, and personal experience at AS.

i had my doubts about david reaves, but now they are partly gone. i am currently reading Meat Market, the book that is basically about coach o and recruiting. in the book, O and his staff were heavily recruiting stephen garcia and smelley. both went to usc jr. one of the main reasons garcia went there was because of david reaves, said very highly things about him. the fact that garcia has sucked till now doesn't have much to do with reaves, garcia is just a head case with an oversized ego. with chaney's help i think reaves helps develop great qb's this year and other years to come

I read an article about his comments on spring practice or as a preview to it or something where he talked about developing our qbs. He definitely sounded like he knew more than I thought he did.
