Other than the QB and receiver positions, I'm really not sure that UT is a lot more talented now than they were in '09. I'm also not sure that UT wasn't better coached in '09 than they are now.

We had two walk-ons on our OL. One of our LB had alot of heart but wouldnt have been a starter on any other sec team.

Well, your '12 OL is basically identical to your '11, right? Maybe they're going to progress a lot, but your '09 OL looked better than your '11 OL, at least to me.

Your LBs didn't wow me too much either. But that may be thanks in part to a secondary that wasn't nearly as strong as '09. Struggling DBs can often make LBs look worse than they should.

That's why the regression last year is worrisome. We lost no one, added more talent and somehow got worse.


2 of the LB's were TrFr which caused some missed assignments. And our DBs were terrible as well. But no fear, we have a baseball player teaching them so all is well.
