A look back since the 'Alabama takeover' - SEC Blog - ESPN

I know many of us left early for many many reasons.... but I stayed and I will stay again to cheer for our boys... if this article or one of the infamous youtube video of the bammers still in Neyland late in the game in 2008 doesn't just make you sick.... I don't know what does... so for those of you in attendance.... stay and stay the whole game regardless of the score, and lets drown them out, or at least stay showing our support for our boys! GO VOLS! I hope to see y'all Saturday!

If the team gives me a reason to stay I will.

I think they already have........ 1) They committed to play here 2) They workout and train all year long.

Us fans expect (hope) each player commits theirselves all year long to be the best they can be so we can be SEC or National Champions. And if some players make it to the NFL we want them to still be loyal and say "I'm from the University of Tennessee" (and not their high school) when they are on TV.

So, all we (the fans) have to do is stay in our seats all game and provide support? We have the easy part don't you think???

GO VOLS!

I'll hopefully be too drunk to be able to leave early :p Though I suppose that would present a problem with getting to my seats as well.

But on a serious note, the only way I'd leave early is if it was like 45-0 at the half

I kind of agree with this. There is a big difference between a hard fought, grind it out loss, and what happened in the second half of the Oregon game. There was no freakin' way I was sticking around to watch that scoreboard continually tick higher and higher, while our boys midway through the third lost ALL of their will to fight back. The crowd that night truly gave their all for Tennessee by sticking around with the same unmatched fervor before the tsunami, as after.

I don't mind a loss if the effort is there. But why would I not go ahead and start my drive back to Nashville, if we are losing by a zillion points and the team has ceased fighting?

On the flip side, my butt was firmly glued to my seat until the clocked hit triple zeroes against Florida. Big difference.

This doesn't make me or anyone else a bad fan, it makes us realists'. Even against Georgia, you could tell that they were still fighting hard despite the score. As long as the team plays hard and gives their all, as a fan in the stadium, I'll do the same.

If the team want us to stay til the end in a blowout, there's a simple solution.

Play my boy Bray.

That avatar cracks me up. If he lights it up Saturday, CDD should mandate that Worley get one too.

"People think I'm the greatest damn coach in the world," said the great Bear Bryant, "but Neyland taught me everything I know."

This quote always makes me happy this time of year! BUCK FAMA!

I'll be there to the last play. Never left a game early and not planning to start either.
