Reasons To replace Dooley ??????

Honestly, I think at this point you fire Dooley just to excite the fan base. I think Dooley could be a great coach, and maybe even win a couple of really big games next year, but I'm sick of the negativity and fighting. This fan base is split, majorly, and hiring a guy like Gruden would bring us all back together and sell out Neyland Stadium. I'm ready for a positive vibe again.

Worst hire in SEC history? Lol. Are you one of those guys that said a high school team could beat us?

No, we have too much wasted talent to get beat by a high school team.

Reason I say worst hire in SEC history is that he was a very mediocre Sunbelt coach with a losing record. If his name was Derrick Smith he would have never been hired here. UT should have kept Kippy and made a hire the next year.

Just wondering, who else was interviewed for the job before Dooley accepted it ?

I sure hope you don't, I've seen more intellegent and rational post from the "vast majority of Vol fans" than your, and i'll be nice, less intellegent post.

His failures are well documented, saying he sucks just simplifies that. Should I add "at being a head football coach"?

Hmmm. Where to begin.

-Our tackling is terrible, again

-Our defense has trouble lining up

-Nobody on our team has been taught to read a play

-We are averaging 7 yards per punt

-Our entire special teams watched a kickoff roll down the field where it was promptly recovered by the other team

- Our offensive play calling borders on criminal

- We can't contain the edge

- We have no pass rush

- Our receivers are not being taught how to separate

- Our corners play way to far off the line

- We constantly allow other teams to score at least 17 easy points in the first half

- Every QB we have faced has had a career day against us

- We cannot stop the run

- We are not utilizing the Tight Ends nearly enough

- It appears that the coaches were all drunk when they prepare the gameplans

- Because we have not recruited a 3rd down back, we are forced to use our best defensive player on short yardage

I am going to get some water. I'll be back.

Probably only Kippy and Dooley, the job was filled in about 72 hours. There is a reason why Mike Hamilton took a buyout and left early.
