i would go to every Tennessee game home and away if i had the money to do so.when chuck webb was a freshmen i went to every home game including the 2946 yards rushing against ole miss and later went to lexington so i saw several games that year plus i have drove to auburn, and to both baMA fields,to columbia sc and nashville and athens and atlanta to watch the Vols in the days before 700 dollar house payment 400 car, life and home insurence 150 phone 125 sattalite 40 internet and hundreds of dollars a week for the family so i have to pick and choose when to go to games plus it cost 1500 to fix truck a fewe months back plus car motor is blown up.that is the only reason i will not be going to the game.your not a true vfl if you dont go if you can win lose or draw or sun or rain

Reasons to go to the game to show your support for the players, coaches, and for a brave young man named Jay that I'm sure would love to be there if he could cause he's a true BIG ORANGE FAN.

You Go and make this the most electric game of the year. You be as loud and proud as you can and you help your team win a tough game against Bama. GBO... VFL

Fall Saturdays in Neyland are too few and precious to pass up. When I lived in Knoxville I went every chance I got and would do the same if I could. I would go even if I knew that it would be a loss. That's just me, we are all different and I am no more a fan than anyone else, but I try not to take the games for granted. Sitting at any game beats sitting around in June waiting for football season. I try to enjoy it as much as possible. The walk to the stadium and pre game traditions are worth my trouble.

I bet Bama's fan base during the Shula era was really pleasant ...

I don't remember any difference. I know it was hard on me personally though. I purchased a dozen AK47's and was observed by law enforcement stalking my UT neighbors.

But down here, that's proper behavior and no charges were filed.

All this ankle biting is ridiculous. UT will be back and you know it. We know it.

This garbage will pass.

You should be attacking Bammers, not each other.

all I know is that I was in no way ready to support this play on the field. I felt we could have been coached much betterand prepared for MSU. But after seeing the way these leaders on the football team reached out to Jay the week they play the number 1 team has really inspired me to get behind them . Win or loose as long as they play hard I'll go to work Monday and defend them again like I have done so many times!

The only reason I won't be attending this game is because we had a baby last week. That alone is not the reason I won't be attending. The only reason I won't be attending is because I can't find someone to help my wife with the new baby and the toddler. Family is the only thing (well, GOD, of course) that comes before UT football.

This is why I don't have tix & I don't understand how so many people can just give up on UT.. especially during HATE WEEK! We are playing BAMA people! What other reason do you need?!?! Go support UT and get LOUDER than all the BAMA fans that are expecting us to be intimidated by them! GBO!!!!

You've posted 3 times or so in this thread and every post is about you. "I this" "I won't", yeah you're a great fan because you feel that this team owes you, you personally, something. Like these kids haven't been working their asses off since January. Do you think they want to lose? You don't have to like the coaches, but don't sell the kids short. If you don't have the capability or means to go to games it's one thing, but not to go, out of pure spite and support the 18 to 22 year old kids that put it out there is ridiculous just to prove your point. It just proves that you are the narsissistic prick that you come across as on this website.

Daaammmmm!!! You go RDU!

Now this is funny! A 'Bama fan of all people tries to bring some sanity to this waste land of wanna be players, coaches and hatchet man administrators. Just what does that tell you. The vocal minority might be idiots maybe?

I don't believe Dooley is a guy that could ever win a championship in the SEC, but you better believe I'll be doing all I can to support the Vols tomorrow night. I'd love nothing more than to see us knock Bama out of the #1 spot and ruin their chance at a NC. That would be just awesome. I'd be willing to concede another loss to Kentucky to see that happen.
Can't be at the game, though. We have to take the kids to Boo at the Zoo. Guess whose idea that was.

I understand the money issue, but you can always scalp tickets for cheap, especially when your team isn't winning. Also Peyton will be on campus friday. He will be there for the dedication of the new Peyton Manning Pass. So I bet he'll stay for gameday.

Peyton Manning is bad boy. He even gets the bye week to fall when he needs it! He is always here when we need him. Some folks just got it all. Espn gone hate to have show PM leading RockyTop after we whip dey ass! Now that is a reason to go to a damn game.

Be there in spirit. They are clearly better. But they game must be played.
