Many people were applauding Currie for keeping everything about this coaching search close to his chest and not letting anything out. However, in hindsight, I think he was trying to keep it quiet because he knew what the reaction would be. It was almost like he was trying to get the deal finalized without anyone finding out and then we would just be stuck. I feel like this man cannot be trusted. He seems to be very shady in his way of doing things.

Why would he do it if he knew what the reaction would be? Why knowingly roll out a coach you know noone supports?

We definitely can't trust his decision making.

I think he thought Mullen was coming for weeks now. That’s why he went to the Bahamas and stayed in Knox all day Friday.

Then UF came calling for Mullen and Currie panicked. You can tell it was his first big time coaching search.

If you want Mullen, you make sure you are in Starksville the second the Egg Bowl ends and you don’t leave without Mullen.

Pride can be a dangerous asset.

No. I think he just thought he was making a great unknown hire and was patting himself on the back for keeping it under wraps. Backfired on the idiot. Some people think they are so smart

Why even go after a coach you know no one is going to support? Especially one with as many red flags as Schiano. It's like how a kid does something wrong but tries to hide it from his parents as long as he can hoping that they won't be as mad.

The reaction would be different if TN was stuck with him. Between a rock and hard place you might say..
