Really though, after the dust has settled, had you told me we would finish 10-3

The problem with this program is the fact that we have such a large number of fans who would be happy with 10-3 at this point

The problem with this program is we have seen the talent and that we have lost to all good teams we should have beaten except Bama two weeks ago. Then we start winning and then we lay an absolute egg. This isn't like Oklahoma losing to a red hot Houston team that seems like a top 10 team every year now. We lost to a sucky program with a sucky roster and sucky coach. This team drives me crazy. We could easily be 2-6 right now.

And, why should we assume that we make it to 10 wins this year?

We needed double-overtime and a miracle fumble recovery to beat App State. We struggled to beat Ohio. We needed a miracle catch to beat a bad Georgia team. We have about 3.5 total quarters of what might be considered good football on the year. We've actually gotten worse over the season, while the rest of our conference opponents barring Missouri are improving. There's a real chance that we go 7-5 this year, and 6-6 if we have the same offensive performance against Mizzou that we saw against SC.

This team is closer to 7-5 or 6-6 in the regular season than 9-3. It is going to get worse.

The loss last night is so similar to the ones we suffered with Majors and Fulmer. Majors to that same SC school. Fulmer had Memphis and Wyoming and almost Air Force. It happens. Problem is this offense is getting worse by the minute. I admire and appreciate Josh Dobbs. But, everyone outside of this staff knew he was never going to be the guy who could beat you with his arm. Butch's unwillingness to change is or will be his downfall. No doubt in my mind that Saban or Spurrier or Myer would have yanked him last night. Should have given Dormandy a shot. The reason? He has Atleast shown ability to throw the ball down the field. If Dobbs isn't going to keep it on the read option or have designed run plays for him, he serves no purpose.

I'd given you a big bear hug! TBH. It aint as bad as it seems. Agree?

You have to take the losses individually, and unfortunately for Lyle, he lost to one of the worst power 5 teams. He deserves to be fired immediately for the way the team has underperformed in most of the games. He has finally proven he can't handle it here.

Time for change.

Please tell me this is a joke.

UT just lost to a HORRIBLE roster at USCe coached by Muschamp. Their QB should be a HS Sr. In 4 months, Muschamp took nothing and made a team good enough to beat a team that Jones has spent 4 years building "brick by brick".

Here's the cold hard truth. Jones was o'fer against ranked opponents before arriving at UT. He had a sub-500 record against teams with a winning record. His "success" was an illusion. Give him credit. He parlayed that into a big paycheck.... but he was not and is not an SEC caliber coach.

UT needs to cut their losses while the roster is still ahead of where it was when Jones took over and find someone who can actually coach.

Well, I was thinking the SEC East would be halfway decent, so yeah i would have been a lot happier with it under that viewpoint. I still would be happy about it.

We have a long way to go to be 10-3.

I'm not saying I am 100% happy with what is going on, but there have been a lot of years we did not win both UGA and Florida. What I see is keeping Jones and I'd seriously talk to Manning for qb coach. Maybe that's just a fantasy. To me that's a no brainer. I guess being older than most on here, there have been a lot of bad years but a lot of good. We gotta get some players especially defense and o/l.
