Injuries should not have affected the SCAR game or the Vandy game. We should have had enough depth to beat those two with second and third string. Especially SCAR with a week off and we actually got guys back that week.

Pretty much but the injuries still were major factors. And in the SC game you've got your 5 star prima dona refusing to go in. That's demoralizing as hell on any level but especially to a bunch of college aged players. Candy played 10 miles over their heads against reserves and out of position inexperience players. No excuses but there are reasons.

If you are going to hang your hat on these excuses:
1. You better smoke App State when you are healthy
2. Better not lose to Vandy or South Carolina
3. Better not ask for a raise and send the message that you believe this is acceptable

"A" team as in no particular team. No team specifically just whomever we're facing.

Not a difficult concept to those who have a working knowledge of the English language.

Now I know how you like to look for hidden meanings in Jones pressers (which aren't there) but this was a very straight forward question.

No agenda here. Just a lifelong Vol fan who can admit that Butch blew 2 games he shouldn't have this season.

It doesn't make me negative, and it doesn't mean I want him fired. It just means that I acknowledge he will not last if he continues to lose those kind of games.

The USC game was off a frigging bye week and Vandy was for the sugar bowl. Unbelievable losses. We had 11-1 talent and went 8-4. Kudos to Butch for fixing the mess, but at some point the results have to match the hype.
