Realistically: Can We Win 9 Games This Year With A New QB?

FIFTEEN & OH, BABY!

Dude, we won 9 games this year with too many new players at key positions.

Same qb
Same rbs
Same WRs (added Byrd to Jennings, Malone and Smith)
Same TE
Same OLs (Bama game was exception, otherwise, we rotated same guys who were in the program 2-4 years)

Same DEs
Same CBs (Buchanan played a couple games for injured Sutton, otherwise it was Moseley, Foreman, Martin)
Some change at safety....TKJr returned and started at junior, Abernathy first year guy as sophomore.
Same DEs
Same DTs (for majority of the season....OBrien 6 games, KMac 7.5 games, Tuttle 7 games, Vickers 13 games.....newbies were Kongbo and Phillips)
Same punter
Same kicker

LBs- lotta changes here with JRMs injury, but Jumper was a mainstay, McDowell got more playing time as a junior and DKJr played about half the season....Senior Bynum also got playing time.

Hard to say we had "too many new players at key positions" imo....just wasn't true

should be able to get 8-9 wins somehow with a good D

8 Home games:
Georgia Tech TBD
Indiana State W
UMASS W
UGA TBD
USC TBD
So. Miss W
LSU L
Vandy TBD

4 Road Games:
Fla. TBD
Bama L
Mizzou TBD
KY TBD

In a nutshell, 3 highly probable W's and 2 highly probable L's along with 7 "to be determined" games that could go either way. UT would need to go 5-2 in those TBD games to reach 8 wins. 5-2 vs. UF,UGA,GT,SC,KY,Mizz and VD. So the question is can CBJ go at least 5-2 vs. that group with a new QB, RB, WR's ? Many will look at that group of names and say "no sweat", which would not be true, it would require a bunch of sweat. Both VD and KY return almost their whole starting lineups, @UF has never and will never be easy, UGA returns most of their starting lineup, GT runs a funky Offense that is not EZ to defend, SC returns 10 offensive and 8 def starters and best QB in East. EZ?
