Realistic Thread -- Which Assistant Coaches Need To Go/Who Replaces Them?

Chaney bare minimum. Let the new OC choose who he keeps on the offensive staff next season. Heistand is probably gone as well IMO.

I like the drop Chaney and pick up leach at oc idea. Dropping Chaney could hurt our recruiting some sooooo we need to make sure that is done right. Looks like HH is gonna be gone which I think he was a scapegoat by armchair coaches.

I think CDD needs to consider a different Offense, perhaps something that spreads out the defense. It might be time for Chaney to go. The play calling went from bad to worse throughout the year.

I am not sure but I will say it is becoming more apparent why Kiffin called the offensive plays and he didnt let Chaney do it!!! It is a shame I like the guy but sometimes you have to make hard decisions.

Good pt and reminder for those that forget these type of things.

IMHO seems like Chaney tries to be the "cool" coach too. Which isn't the best approach IMO.

It's worth a shot. No one is hiring him so if he wants to get into the sec he may just have to. It's worth the call at the least that's all I'm saying.

Don't like this. Best case scenario, you have him as your OC for 2 years before he becomes HC somewhere else.. We need more than 2 years out of our OC - particularly since Leach would bring in an entirely different type of offense that may not be replicated by whoever replaces him.

I agree with u. Something I had in the back of my head wen I said it. But who do u think? Everyone wants to replace Dooley, and there aren't any solid names being mention cause theta aren't any. Now let's throw the OC position out there and who would it be?

Strength and conditioning coach has been here less than a year. Geez people. Ha now it's apparent some of you really are fat, lazy, armchair dorks.

For the op, Heistand seems tO be obvious. Chaney has shown nothing special, only reason I could see keeping him is beneficial is because they will be able to open the entire offense up next yr with a still young team.

who goes? some assistants are going to be gone, they have to. who will it be? don't want any emotionally charged responses, just thoughtful perspective.

Chaney has to go. This guy is a horrible OC. Randy Sanders is a better OC than this guy. The play calling sucks. People say but, but he made Drew Brees. Bull.. Some guys will be good no matter who their coach is. I say Brees made Chaney just like the Mannings made Cutcliff. If Dooley won't get rid of this guy, then he needs to go also. We will never be worth a flip as long as he is the OC. The blocking schemes he wants don't work. The play calling makes no sense. You can predict every time he takes a shot down the field. I don't know what else to say. Things are just bad now.
