Offense is very suspect. Simms eats the turf a lot in this one. Something close to:

Vols 9
Ducks 24

Could get very ugly if we turn the ball over.

34-20 Ducks

GJ is out. This is a game where the depth issues will bite us. Now who gets the start in place of GJ? Rogers or Hunter?

From the start, Oregon comes out gunning. We fall beyond all too swiftly. By the second quarter it's Oregon 35 Tennessee 3.

After half time, the beating continues, Ducks 45, Tennessee 10. Fourth quarter, it's a matter of pride, plus Ducks tiring and we much less due to conditioning (Thank you Wylie), CDD just turns the team loose as nothing else is working. Them Vols get mean, SEC mean. The Vols defense finally decided to show up is one reason. Dooley has words with Simms, who gets his azz in gear and starts throwing at players numbers instead of over their darn heads. But he gets knocked up hard with the score at Oregon 45, Tennessee 27. Bray comes but isn't that effective. DD sends in Nash who shows why he and Da'Rick were such a great battery in school. The ducks have no idea what to do Nash hitting both Rogers and Hunter with impunity. yes, Nash. Believe it or not the final score is Tennessee 50, Oregon 45, plus we find out who our QB really is-but Simms gets another shot at redemption with Florida

I know these things because I'm clairvoyant. And my avatar gal assures me this is true.

Three pages in and no one has been called on idiot or a Dool-Aid-slurpin' Fulmerite Homer for predicting Tennessee to win?

And in 3... 2.... 1....

UT 72
Ducks 0

If true, we vault to # 1 or #2, Bama and Fla not withstanding. ESPN will panic and seek occult consultation, the NCAA will prioritize the UT for investigation, and Iran will convert to Christianity.

Our D is what keeps us in the game! Vols win in a close one. Lincoln hits 40+ yarder to win. 17-14 GBO!!!!!

:lolabove: He ate the turf sat.
Vols 13
Ducks 31
My bro in law brushed that off as the Vols not showing all their cards in the opener. He could not explain how letting them hit our QB in his mouth could possibly be a part of that grand scheme.

After looking at the games from the weekend and putting into perspective the opponents they had played
( New Mexico "2009 1-11" vs. UT-Martin "2009 5-6 though FCS" )
I would say the game this weekend will come out real close. I would give Tennessee 21 - Oregon 17

#4 Florida had 40 yds of offense against Miami Ohio at the 4:30 minute mark of the 3rd qtr.....I think it is safe to say Florida has more speed than Oregon. Miami was a 1-11 team a year ago that was last in total offense and near last I think in total defense.....anything is possible.

Boise St. was more physical and beat the Ducks last year so why can't we....we get super physical and play old school power run the ball up the gut type Tennessee football that is how we wear'em out...plus we have the upset defensive scheme machine in Justin Wilcox.

BTW....my score prediction is Vols 27 Ducks 24

Prepare to see Hunter deep too....there was a reason they've practiced it alot and we didn't see it last Saturday.
