"Realistic" HC Candidates

I think the best type of hire we could make is a coach connected to Tennessee. Jon Gruden, Peyton Manning (I know I know, those are not going to happen), Jim Bob Cooter. I can't think of any others, but I'm sure there's probably more.

Not even worth talking about as usual, Butch isn't going anywhere soon and we all know it. Next we'll have "Who will take this job?" threads FCS.

Butch won't be gone until the program is run into the ground again and the cupboards are bare. We could lose out and he isn't going anywhere this year. We have an AD that is out the door in a few months, he isn't going to make any changes, will leave that up to whoever is coming in. The best we hope for is after next year if it's another wreck.

Like others have said Butch will be here till it's down to nothing again Tennessee always does this. Plus you have Cheek, and Hart leaving there not gonna rock the boat on the way out the door.

You're literally naming a list like we are in the condition that Dooley left us in. We are in much better shape. No mid majors. Especially Herman. That fire has cooled.

Yet anytime he had a 7 win season or less, he always responded next season with double digit wins. Plus his last recruiting class was a stud one. Clearly made wrong decision.

Briles committed zero wrongdoings. He had a system that he delegated too. Basically, if he was the first to know, it would have been a different story... However, he had no crime committed. The only thing he is getting crucified for is the channels that the situation went through.

Hey guys, Petrino ain't happening. I live in Louisville. If nothing else, the buyout they put in that contract (due to the way he left UL the first time) is so ridiculous that UT would never look that way.

We'll potentially be going up against Texas, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, and USC in a head coach search at the end of the season if we fire butch. I want him gone too but it might be more strategic to wait a year and let the new AD make his hire.
