1) Chip Kelly
2) Jim Bob Cooter
3) Tom Herman
4) Mike McIntyre
5) Craig Bohl ( 3-Time National Championship )
6) PJ Fleck
7) Mike Leach
8) Bobby Petrino
9) Dave Doeren
10) Dave Clawson

All of those guys would coach circles around Botch Jones. I had another nickname in mind, but I'd get banned.

Then you will never be happy...because we have been a 8 win team for 40 years..we jump up every now and then but we haven't been dominate since Neyland...even in our best decade UF had more titles than us

I love Fulmer..He will probably never admit it...I think the fire was out and he was burnt out...it happens..it was time for a change.

But I also think he is gonna have to take a long, hard look at HIS CORE OFFENSIVE IDEOLOGY.....

1. I think TEMPO all the time stinks....I'd rather them get in the huddle and get it right....I think tempo can help in specific situations to catch the defense off-balance....

2. Unless you can recruit the OL like Bama can--you BETTER LEARN to abandon zone blocking schemes....

3. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS....

4. Why is this team riddled with injuries? Does his hurry-up tempo practices lead to more injuries?

I've honestly NEVER SEEN a team in college plagued with the number of injuries we have had this year...

HONESTLY--and I NEVER thought that I'd ever say this--RANDY SANDERS could do a better job with this talent as OC than Debord has done!!!!!!

I wonder if he would come back home to Rocky Top!! :salute:

D3bord is an enigma. I dont know if its his fault. He called a hell of a game @ a&m when kamara healthy. Look at o-line banged up..then qb deficiencies. I agree w the rest of this analysis on coaching though shoop is in over his head. How many effing blitzes qb strong side can u call after getting f'ng burned? Way too many risks taken on D. Im telling u guys he left buchanon w no help. That was ridicilous 1/2 the time they were max protect and we could have doubled on his side because there were only 3 receivers running but no, effing shoop wants to bring the strong side pressure. Just peeved me off whole game.

This will be the new ADs problem and it will take a year or 2 to figure out. Better off with a change in OC.

Can't get a feel for the Defense because of the injuries. However, CB's techniques are horrible.

Not having a QB coach is another area of concern.

Fulmer had the program going downhill. Firing him was a good decision, the hirings were the bad ones.

No I think the boosters influenced Hamilton's decision. Thunder was the only major booster who stuck his neck out for Fulmer.

If we hired Patterson in 2008, we would be competitive with Bama easily. Patterson is a top 5 coach. We can hire the next Patterson at this point. There's a long list of names listed in this thread of guys who can coach.

What has me confused is DeBord has been working with linemen. And maybe Mahoney isn't the greatest, but it seems since DeBord came in to "help" with it, the development of linemen has slowed and in a couple of cases, regressed. Are too many chefs screwing up the soup?

Everybody has opinions. Patterson may or may not have been good in the SEC.
