What are your realistic expectations for UT against Bama this weekend? Do you think they will get blown out from the start? Do you think we will keep it close for a little while? Do you think we will find a way to lose in the final minutes again? Or, do you think we will pull off the upset?

If you think we will get blown out, will you still be pissed off if the team plays lights out but manages to lose a close one?

I think we will keep it fairly close but we will end up losing by 2 touchdowns.

We lose a close one. Close being by 14-17 points and we still hate Dooley but support the team.

I think it will be a fight for about 12-15 minutes. I see a halftime score of 24-13. I see a final score of 47-20. Bama could run for 250+ yards on this defense. Bray with at least 2 INTs.

With our big play ability, i think we are better suited than anyone else in the sec to challenge bama. No rule we have to beat them 17-13..... I'll take 52-49. Our expectation should always be to win.

With Bray, and a healthy group of RB's, UT will keep it close enough to give us hope. Then fall apart from exhaustion in the 4th quarter. Bama 45 UT 24

Without Bray and healthy RB's, Bama rolls 55-0.

Depends if last week broke the spirit on the team. If the players overcome it and play like they have been the rest of the season I think we can stay in it.

We play close til half, some Vol fans post on here during the half about what a huge upset this will be, where are the Dooley haters now, etc.

Then we end up losing by about 3-4 touchdowns, and the "Fire Dooley" threads multiply by about 5. Then by Monday morning we'll see the first "I have a feeling we beat SC" threads.

Depends on the defense. We can shut the run down as long as we play contain. I worry about them throwing short to intermediate passes to wide open receivers though. We can't get in a shoot out like the last two games. We will lose that battle. If our defense can hold some three and outs we can play with them. I fear their depth will eventually wear us out though.

If Tennessee can stay within 21 points, it will be a success.

Anyone expecting Tennessee's defense to keep Alabama within 7 - 10 points of Tennessee's score hasn't been paying attention lately.

Tennessee's defensive problems can't be solved overnight.

Bama will run the ball over and over and over and over.....get the trend? No reason they won't follow the game plan ever other SEC team has.

Bama 40+ TENN 0 - 10

If we can't stop State's offense, Bama's punter should not have to dress for this game.

I hope our defense show major improvements, but I have my doubts.

Go Vols

Agree - Our D is going to get pounded. Bray will be under so much pressure that he will have a difficult day passing.

We will lose by 14 and will be able to put another "W" in our journal about moral victories. The following week there will be countless threads about how much improvement we have seen from this team: "They only had 3 instances in the Bama game of too many men on the field. They were only out of position on defense for 30% of the plays. Marked improvement. Keep Dooley." That kind of stuff.

I will yell for UT the entire game and get pissed when we have a bad play, but the truth is Bama will beat us as bad as they want to. I don't think Saban will want to embarrass Dooley so it will be somewhat close, maybe two touchdowns.

We'll get the s--t kicked out of us.

We might play reasonably tough for a half, give or take a few minutes, then we will fold like a cheap suit again, and get the snot beat out of us. Our D will get absolutely pounded by Alabama. We will lose this game something like 52-17.
