Realistic expectations for JA this year

That's true but UT doesn't throw a ton between the hashes under Heupel. I've actually mentioned here that I wish they would. But I think philosophically Heupel wants to un-clutter the middle of the field to open up the run game.

That doesn't mean JA won't take bad chances to the middle of the field. It just may mean that Heupel will ask him to do so less than maybe ASU did.
Agreed!! And what we don’t know is how many of those INT’s were tipped balls due to weak O-line. I think CJH will scheme into situations that minimize the risks he has to take.

I wish we would utilize the middle of the field more as well but you are right CJH seems to shy away maybe to minimize turnovers as well as open the middle for running lanes.

I rewatched the Alabama game last year. I couldn't believe how poorly Nico played and we still won.
I don't think JA will play worse than Nico in that game. 60% complete. 2300yards earned by mostly 10yd or less passes. 12 ints.

Peyton also threw 36 TD's his senior year so, it's not just how many INT's you throw. If JA throws 25 INTS but 80 TD's, it'll probably be a pretty good season, but probably not a natty season though.
If JA throws 80 TDs and 25 INTs with the run game and D UT has, UT wins the natty easily!

OK my man. You do you. Might want to bring this up with your therapist.
I don't see a therapist. Considering you lie to try and be the big man on this board to boost your ego. You probably have the ' LITTLE MAN SYNDROME ' and defintiely need to see one though!

Yeah, I was just using that as an example that it isn't just throwing INT's, but I feel 100% sure he ain't throwing 80 TD's this year.
He won't throw 80 TDS or 25 INTs. If he throws 40 TDs and 12 INTs with a great running game and D, UT will be in the playoffs and should go deep into it!
