Realistic expectations for JA this year

Manning threw 23 interceptions his last 2 years, 11 his last year. Hopefully Aguilar throws less than he did. I predict JA throws 23 tds and has 7 int.

I’m thinking we’re going to be similar to last year - strong running game and great defense so I don’t think they will have him throwing ball 30+ times a game and won’t routinely ask him to win the game - they want him to run the O, make good read and protect the ball.
So I hope he completes about 65% of his passes for maybe 2500 yards, throws 5 or fewer interceptions to go along with 18-20 TDs, and he’ll need run effectively maybe 250-300 yards rushing. Of course so much depends on the other parts of the team. Like how well will the OL pass block? Will the WR get seperation and get open? Will our running game again be strong? Lots of variables that make specific expectations difficult.

My overall expectation is that he’s a good leader and runs the offense effectively.

Joe started 5 games at Michigan and 4 games at Tennessee prior to 2023. Joey has never taken a snap for a Power 4 program in his life.

Using your logic I’m more experienced than both because I started 37 games in high school.

I won't if he only throws 5 TDs against UA, UA, UF, UGA, UK, MSU, and OU. Everyone knows Nico padded his stats vs non SEC teams and Candy! That won't get us to the playoffs without the D and RUN GAME being as good or better! It could happen. But, we don't want another Nico who can't perform very well vs any SEC team not named Vandy!!!

If he is as good as Milton we make the playoffs. If he is as good as Nico we make the playoffs. If he is as good as Hooker we win the Natty.

In each game, make far more positive plays than mistakes. Pretty much the same expectation for everybody. It’s not all on him, but the QB’s play has more impact than any other position.

I believe we will see a savvy, confident QB, one who will be calm, fearless and, hopefully, accurate. He has shown the ability to hit the downfield HR as well as to tuck and run when needed. If he plays the game in the dedicated, selfless CH style, the stats will be more than satisfactory. I predict a vastly improved offense and a good postseason run. GBO !

Peyton also threw 36 TD's his senior year so, it's not just how many INT's you throw. If JA throws 25 INTS but 80 TD's, it'll probably be a pretty good season, but probably not a natty season though.

Joey has played against Power 4 teams, and using that logic you’d still be wrong because Aguilar has been starting football games for the better part of a decade. Plus comparing high school to college ball is ridiculous

He's thrown for +3,000 yards and +10 picks every season so far. I imagine the yards will go down with our RB stable, but I do think the double-digit picks trends continues.
