Butchna,
First of all, God bless your wife, you and your whole family. I pray she has nothing but 100% perfect health for many years to come. Thats real and scary and I'm sorry that y'all have to face that.
Now, nothing here has anything to do with her or others who may face similar situations. And I'm certainly not butthurt about any VN poster. But, I am teetotally amused at the variety of people with ironclad opinions on another man's life decisions and his personal health. Some did have some medical credentials, and yes they helped offer some insight. By "VN medical staff" I don't mean real medical experts who post here. I mean keyboard warriors "who play one online" b/c they have a DSL connection.
But, the vast majority were proclaiming a sure end to football. A sure direction for his life. One Knoxville media member decided it was his responsibility to publish an Open Letter warning him and giving him direction. #73 is NOT wanton for advice about this. We can all rest assured we are not necessary as fans. But, that hasn't stopped the wild array of advice and wildly varying opinions.
There is NO chance that the UTAD and medical staff have not combed over this with Trey Smith until not even a pebble remains to overturn. None. So our opinions around here are certainly based on far less direct information. Far less risk assessment. Far less personal reflection. And far less concern for a young man and his family.
So, nobody's butthurt here. But, morons waxing medically wise and life superior, with nowhere near what even you have experienced, are the ones being pointed out.
Again, God's best to your wife and family. You're one of my favs around here.
