Real possibility Trey Smith returns

Common sense says if he plays another year w/o health issues, draft stock soars! That being said, he'll get an opportunity either way. I wish him much success whatever his choice, but mostly I wish him a healthy, long life. Great person, great player, great teammate, great ambassador for UT.

I didn’t read anyone who wasn’t an actual physician claiming otherwise. The qualified posters joined in with those experienced in dealing with blood clotting conditions in expressing skepticism that he’d be able to continue his career. The first occurrence didn’t have me proclaiming such...but the recurrence in less than a year did. That you and Remy got all butthurt for those opinions doesn’t change that my late wife had to regulate her medicine from diagnosis to the end and that my now wife always has this reality affecting travel plans and regular day living. So this “knee jerk” dude already pissed on your bushes...get over yourself.

Butchna,
First of all, God bless your wife, you and your whole family. I pray she has nothing but 100% perfect health for many years to come. Thats real and scary and I'm sorry that y'all have to face that.

Now, nothing here has anything to do with her or others who may face similar situations. And I'm certainly not butthurt about any VN poster. But, I am teetotally amused at the variety of people with ironclad opinions on another man's life decisions and his personal health. Some did have some medical credentials, and yes they helped offer some insight. By "VN medical staff" I don't mean real medical experts who post here. I mean keyboard warriors "who play one online" b/c they have a DSL connection.

But, the vast majority were proclaiming a sure end to football. A sure direction for his life. One Knoxville media member decided it was his responsibility to publish an Open Letter warning him and giving him direction. #73 is NOT wanton for advice about this. We can all rest assured we are not necessary as fans. But, that hasn't stopped the wild array of advice and wildly varying opinions.

There is NO chance that the UTAD and medical staff have not combed over this with Trey Smith until not even a pebble remains to overturn. None. So our opinions around here are certainly based on far less direct information. Far less risk assessment. Far less personal reflection. And far less concern for a young man and his family.

So, nobody's butthurt here. But, morons waxing medically wise and life superior, with nowhere near what even you have experienced, are the ones being pointed out.

Again, God's best to your wife and family. You're one of my favs around here.

Thanks for all that...and I mean it. But this whole topic needs to settle on what TREY accomplishes from here on out. Rekindling what annoys us makes it about us...and it ain’t. Those who were a little too insistent that he would never overcome this condition and continue his football career will face their final judgement someday. 😏
