I did and if that's all you took from that, I don't know what to tell you. For the past year, when a gator acts up all we've had to do was remind them of Tebow bawling on the sideline. It's been done here many times. Now, one of our does it, and it's all heart. Given, I would've probably done the same in either situation and I'm not blasting either. But you can't make fun of one and praise the other.

Of course we can. Nick is our Vol.

Tebow also had a lot more talent the day he stepped on campus. I'm not saying either one was right or wrong, but I've seen plenty of references to Tebow crying on these very boards. And as I said before about the John Wayne reference, you think Gen Patton, Douglas McAurthur, Sam Houston, Neyland, ect. ect... You get my point.

dude whats your deal? what are you trying to prove? We're just reflecting on a tough loss, one thats obviously tough on the team, and regardless of blame it sucks. your not adding anything to discussion by acting like a pr$K....

So you've read my posts and can't figure it out. My "deal" is, we raised he'll when Timmy did it, but when Nick does, we started a thread praising him.

perhaps he's upset b/c he (and 2 other vols) 'watched' an LSU receiver convert a 4th and 14 and b/c he was in the gap on the final play and didn't make the play or as the anointed team leader he should have realized there were 13 vols on the field.

The fact that he didn't make the tackle is why he was crying. You could see that he knew he missed the tackle while the play was still live. I think he is good and he has a heart that is as big as Neyland so don't be bashing me and yes I saw the tackles he made but when I think legend and vol lb I think number 27. However he is very good considering he plays with heart because his physical attributes may be a little lacking for a SEC middle linebacker but he overcomes it with heart and is an impact player for this defense. :salute:

thats completely irrelevant, not even close to being a comparable situation. St. Timothy (as one poster has already pointed out) was used to nay expecting to win. Florida was undefeated ready to go play for a national championship. They (Florida) also lost said game in otherwise normal way. The emotions of having thought you won at the end only to have it snatched away....I think its a completely different scenario.

but if you wanna call us hypocrites, if you wanna call us unfair...go ahead. Just take your Tim Tebow poster and crawl back into your bunk bed with your bottle of lube.

Can't imagine what could have been if Raviez makes that last tackle solo instead of losing his footing..Oh well what a baller for the Vols. GO VOLS!!

Getting a little nasty aren't we? So UF had a BCS Championship on the line and shouldn't have cried, but we're trying to get to .500 and it's ok? Perfectly logical. I've already said they were both justified, you're the one who keeps saying one was and one wasn't.

If every one of our current players gave as much of himself as NR, we'd be 4-1. And, Georgia would be scared to death.

Nick brings a load of what we (as both a program, and society in general, need): an unrelenting resolve to succeed, no matter the apparent degree to which we are outmatched or outmanned, and a seemingly humble acceptance that nothing is owed and nothing is taken for granted.

Talk to an older family member or Veteran...you might just recognize a few of these traits. Our country was built of this grit, and I am dang sure proud to see it in one of our young athletes.

Yeah they definitely played it up. It happens all the time from pee-wee to pros. This is what gets me: http://www.volnation.com/forum/around-ncaa/88275-tebow-crying.html
Personally, I think if possible, you should try to get to the locker and off the opponent's field before you cry. But whatever, I'm not going to knock or praise a guy either way.

Of course he realized that there were too many players on the field. LSU was supposed to allow time for our substitutes to communicate with him and then time for our players to get off the field. Those are the NCAA rules of substitution after an offense had sent in substitutes. But LSU lined up for a quick-snap, instead. Our players had no time to do anything other than what they did when they saw LSU setting up to snap the ball. They had a reasonable expectation that the officials would observe NCAA rules of substitution and flag LSU for their violations. Let's not fault our coaches and players for doing the right things. They were the only ones who did.

Another thing people aren't thinking about with Reveiz is the fact that this team has no depth. Think about how many plays he was in on. I mean he gave everything he had to give in the game without rest. It is only logical that he is going to wear out late in the 4th quarter. Just maybe a little of the reason why he was late on a few of the coverages.

As far as the tackles he missed, if those were early in the game he would have dropped those guys on contact. When there is hardly any rotation for you in a tight defensive ballgame it's only natural that your going to run out of energy.

Then again I'm just a dumb bammer.:good!:
