Read the termination letter. There is a error. Pruitts getting a negotiated buyout.

Unless someone posts a screenshot of the pdf I do not believe this is the actual document, rather a journalist retyping the letter. There are several typos in the article. I write and review contracts for a living, every document goes through a process from drafter to reviewer to attorney. I can garuntee you this was read by several people and the mistake would have been caught. If not the drafter and the chancellor would be fired immediately for negligence.

“Garuntee” that the error would be caught? Sorry...I couldn’t resist.

I agree that even a cursory reading identifies several typos which is more than a little embarrassing for a legal document. I wonder if the posted document was made from a scan to text of the original.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a buyout. Look who his agent is and probably the agent for 90% of the candidates UT will interview. This stuff doesn't exist in a vacuum.

Near the end of the letter, a paragraph begins with "Pursuant to your Agreement,". In that sentence, the word 'again' is spelled 'against'. hmmm

Pretty fair bet that's a "scan to text" document. "Singed" would be flagged by any word processor, immediately, and caught by even the sleepiest paralegal in a read through.

If there's some "substance issue" in the letter, perhaps, but the several typos tell me someone got a copy of a draft OR this was poorly scanned to text.

Edit: I see someone has shown a pic of the letter. That should settle that.
