Agree we need them to run block just not pass block.. Would love to have a great running game again.

I agree 100%, but I'll add they BETTER be virtually inpenetrable when protecting Bray. If he goes down, the team goes down with him.

Was this magazine Football Time in Tennessee?

There's got to be major improvement. They couldn't even run consistently on buffalo or montana last year. They few good runs we had against buffalo, we had to overload one side and run a toss like a jr high team.

Here's hoping that CJG teaches the running backs a navigation course this year also, removes the dancing shoes, and gets them cleats. North/South was an issue last year also. Many times there were holes that could have been hit hard but our backs got Saturday Night Fever and tried to dance away.

defense gave up 10.

qb was sick/injured/having issues

all tennessee had to do was hand the ball off and move the ball on the ground against kentucky

something everyone in america could do against kentucky except tennessee.

you're damn right that loss is pretty much all on the o-line

Right, the offensive line let a WR/QB have two scoring drives. There were 100 issues in that game. Stick to your own train-wreck there sparky.

Dude our run game sucked period. "All we had to do" lol

Rogers dropping a wide open TD pass to end zone didn't help things either

Am I the only one that remembers the botched replay call by the refs on that sideline fumble during KYs only td drive???? Or did I imagine that just to help me get through that horrid day???

I remember that..... BUT, that shouldn't have stopped us from winning. If Simms played that game, score would've been at least 31-10. Bray had his head up is ass and didn't give a damn about winning or going bowling. I'm tired of hearing that loss was Dooley's fault. He put the team in position to win with what should have been our best option at QB. That loss is squarely on Bray's shoulders. I don't blame him though, I would rather party on New Year's Eve than play in Shreveport, Memphis, Nashville, etc.

don't you have to block well to be considered good?

if the offensive line was worth a crud, they beat kentucky last season in their street clothes

And if florida's was any good they beat auburn in their street clothes..

this game is fun.. wanna try again?

I saw them hang out at the linemen camp last weekend and they look like an NFL line. Tiny is just a monster, all muscles.

If they don't dominate we are on trouble.

What did she buy?

According to the receipt

two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls.

well, who the hell was trying to make an argument florida's offensive line was any good?

pointing out flaws about florida that are so obvious stevie wonder could see them doesn't offend me, bother me, anger me, what have you.

it's laughable to consider tennessee's offensive line, an offensive line that had negative yards rushing on multiple occasions and could not push or shove kentucky's defense around, a top 10 offensive line.

period. end of story. next case.

and if anyone tried to claim florida's offensive line was a top 10 offensive line nationally, i would also consider that laughable.

but regardless, whether florida has the best offensive line in the country or the worst, it doesn't change anything having to do with tennessee's line.

I agree. I never said the ranking was warranted. The potential is there, but they haven't proven anything yet. You however stated, "you're damn right that loss [Kentucky] is pretty much all on the o-line". You obviously didn't watch the whole game. Likewise, as a Florida fan, I question whether or not you were even given the Saturday afternoon off from the denim factory to take in a football game.

Interesting how you don't respond to any real arguments, and only wait until someone veers off course (by bringing up Florida) to jump back in to the conversation.

I agree with you. Just don't care for the WR playing QB beat us garbage, as the Def did its job. It was our offense that lost the game. Not trying to argue, but if you believe Simms should have played (which I can agree with) then in a way that would be on Dooley. Bray does deserve to have that game more on him than any...sick or not. All the rumors about them just wanting the season to end, and maybe even the rumors of players academic ineligibility may have some merit.. Could have all played a part but who knows...

almost my thoughts exactly

to say our running game sucked but our Oline has so much potential is just crazy to me

teams with great Oline's just don't suck as bad as we did last year running the football - really is simple as that

I am hoping Tiny getting in there and some progression with other guys will help - but top 10 in the country, come on

I think if steele thinks theyre 7th in the nation then its not laughable at all. He generally knows his stuff.

Most everyone knows that Olineman generally arent at their best till their 3rd year.

i left the conversation, because you had your point of view and i had mine and i can tell things weren't going to change.

i still stick with what i said.

the defense gave up 10.

now, keep in mind, florida with their celebrated passing game and powerful offensive line (sarcasm), ran the ball for 400 yards on kentucky and put up 48 points. the third string rb had 84 yards on 6 carries. just so people understand the greatness that is the kentucky rush defense.

tennessee's passing game was off that day. while there may be no excuse for that either, a team without a pathetic offensive line could have just ran the damn ball and walked out of there with a win rather easily. but, no. they ran 24 times for 61 yards. the leading rusher for the game had 32 yards.

now, while the loss that day was truly a team effort. the most pathetic performance in my mind came from the offensive line. so, yeah, that loss is on them. jmo

Yeah. Passes would have magically been more accurate off your still injured QB's thumb... WR's would have run better routes and caught every pass that hit them in the hand... for that matter, Bray's case of the flu would have subsided as if it never occurred.

UT's OL last year was best in the conference in pass blocking. That's even more impressive considering the run game didn't work.

I personally think 10th is too high based on what they've actually done in the run game... but the OL wasn't the cause for the UK loss.
