Would you want Lane Kiffin as Tennessee's next football coach?

In my lifetime there has only been two coaches that UT has hired that when they were hired i felt like we were going to win a championship in the future. Majors and Lane Kiffin. 6 months ago i would have been just like everyone else that is saying hell no on Kiffin. AS this season has progressed i have slowly changed my mind. I dont care about the past now and i want to win in the future. I dont see any sure things out there because they dont exist. Kiffin has done a great job this year and he has the balls to coach against the best and not flinch.

If we dont hire him Fla is crazy if they dont take him. He would do very well either here or at Fla.

Who would you like for Tennessee to hire . Now were not talking first choice all of those are pretty much gone or not coming. so were down to like the 4th or 5th choice.

As I stated in another thread, I am choosing to go by Currie’s own words in describing what he is looking for. He said he wants someone with HC experience and time spent in the SEC. Someone as he put it “big, expensive, and explosive”. To me that rules out all but 3 coaches - Mullen, Franklin, and Fisher. You could argue Kiffin fits that bill as well, but I don’t think Currie is that stupid.

If he fails to get one of those 3 I could live with Campbell or a guy like Clay Helton.

I don’t think Leach or Peterson are possibilities, culture has to factor in at some point.

Never thought about it but there is a lot of similarities LOL . hey spurrie could coach. Hell that makes me like Kiffin more
