Only needs to hire T Martin and a few others to run things and we are a lot better off than since he left....truth.

In all honesty...Phil Fulmer could've/should've remained as the "face" of UT football...like Bowden and Paterno (outside of his negligence in the Sandusky affair of course). Paterno probably hadn't actually "coached" for 15 years before he left. Same with Bowden. Shoulda kept Phil and hired x's and o's guys to do the real work in the same fashion. We never would have had the drop off we had in the program. Just sayin'.

Petersen won't come here. I heard today, that Petersen won't coach any place where there is high media scrutiny. Washington gives the least amount of media access in the pack 12.
Likes to be very low profile and that wouldn't work here.

And who, praetel, told you that?

Lou Holtz

Rebuilt ND and SC. Has the national title. Has the ESPN announcing experience so crucial for any Vol coach.

Lol would save me quite a bit of money if Fulmer was rehired. I would continue not going to games. Of course I was opposed to CBJ being hired as well.

Only if he brings Cutcliffe with him. Record with Coach Cut, 82-19. Record without Coach Cut, 70-33. Seriously, this is not an option now.

Honestly, wouldn't 68% be better than what we've had for the past 3 coaches?

At least for a few years to get the next coaching staff in and comfortable?

I just hope the next coach has the determination Phil had on the recruiting trail. i.e. taking long flights to California to recruit QBs....WRs.....RBs.

Used to laugh every time Fulmer would get a raise because of all the schools clambering for his service. Stop and ask yourself, if he was that great and that in demand, why did no one jump on the still available Fulmer???

I still like the idea of digging up General Neyland and scraping some skin and bone and cloning him over at the ag campus.

A coach is rated or graded on wins and losses, his record says he was a very good coach.
