Here is the battery charger set up. One is for the car. It plugs into an adapter for the house. Battery is on tile in case it heats up.

I'll glue the cowl and use it while I learn but I'll pick up one or two tomorrow. Same with the wing. Get a new one, but learn with this one. Just about anything you break on this plane can be fixed with glue or clear packing tape. I'll probably put clear tape around the edges of the wing tips to slow down the chewed effect.

Sounds awesome. How much does it weigh?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Sorry, didn't see this in my post padding pictures. Right at 25 ounces. You can maybe add another 10 ounces or so without affecting the flight. Not sure yet. But they have pontoons you can buy for it. Parachute/bomb drops, etc. It'll support one of those micro camcorders. The Flip Video kind.

Slydell I have the Countour HD camera. It weighs 4.5 ozs and records to a micro sd card.

It takes awesome video off of an RC plane.

Thanks. Just saw this. I've been a bit out of it for a few days. I was already thinking about a camera sometime later. The Countour looks nice but pricey for me right now Maybe later if I stick with this. If I really get hooked, I would like the ultimate set up with decent camera and ability to view in real time. That would be amazing.

Contour will have a camera that will stream real time video. It sounds like it will be out within the next 6 months.

The GPS version already has an app for android phones that lets you use the screen of your phone as a monitor.

Thanks, sounds great. This will be one of my summer time hobbies. Might stick with me. If it does, I'll go crazy with the outfit.

Naw, the weather's been crap out here. We're still having winter/spring. High winds. I might have a window tomorrow if I can catch it between the breezes. They announced yesterday or the day before that this is officially the wettest Spring on record for Utah. There's going to be some flooding when the snow in the mountains starts to melt. 18 miles from here at Ben Lomond Peak, the snow is 10' deep. It's that way at most elevations around 8500'. Haven't seen a report for the tops or passes.

Wow, that's nuts. Unseasonably awful here, like late July hot, humid, and stagnant. If it wasn't a big touristy weekend we'd have gone to the cape to escape this awfulness

I remember a lot of people in the NE traveled on holidays. Especially from New York going northward.

Over the past few years we've been running up to Vermont when we get away, but its black fly season so it sucks to go up and sit inside. The CT beaches are overflowed on holidays, so Mass is the closest re****l oceanfront

I remember the good old days we'd drive down and hit Misquamicut Beach. Wasn't bad back then. Probably loaded with people and crap now.

Aunt and Uncle have a cottage about 1/4 mile off the beach un Westerly, it's a madhouse in summer. One cool thing is we can go when the tide is out and dig a bunch of quohogs from the salt ponds.

Slip em from the shell, dunk em in butter, down the hatch raw.

I'm sure plenty of fun times still to be had up there. I sure had my share. Cya, later. Pain meds kickin' in and I'll be sounding I should be in one of the drunk threads.
